FAmily Values quest (spoilers)

So I just completed this quest... uh... so I killed the guy's mother and ♥♥♥♥ed his father. It made me laugh a lot (and did he pluck out his own eyes at the end?!) but I couldn't help but wonder, did anyone knock out the bandits instead of killing them, and whether that affected the ending? I feel bad now!

Read his name backwards then read about the guy. You'd be surprised with the similarities. One of the best quests just for that aspect, imo.

Ah, ok. Makes a little more sense why the quest was put in, but the quest itself (the story) was just dumb. Lazy writing with no obvious reference - did anything in the quest point toward the mythology?? Maybe I played this quest when I was tired and ignored something obvious??

I don't know....just seemed like a half-ass attempt.

There's also a happy sort of ending to that quest if you avoid his father's... spear. But the mother always dies.
