Possible / viable to do Bow-only build?
Has anyone tried archer abilities and bow using character? I just started and i think the bow is awesome, nbot sure if its doable to do a mostly bow-focused playtrhough. There seems to be plenty of bow abilities but Im not sure about the fights to come.

I played a nearly pure bow Hunter build for the whole game.
And yes, its doable for the most part, Hunter Damage is actually VERY op with the special arrows and skills you can get. Its ideal for a stealthy approach since you get skills like " ghost arrow" that lets you shoot through walls and such.

Make sure your armor is engraved with + crit% and damage runes and that you use parts that have bonus hunter damage and you can dish out ridiculous amounts of damage.

So at the end i put 90% of my points into the hunter tree, with a few into Assassin for stealth reasons and the only one from the Warrior tree i took was the one that doubled your armor.

But it can be tough if you get caught in the open by a group of enemies.

Nice that's awesome! You could even do bosses with just a bow?

I only use it as support. Melee is way more fun.

Yes, as long as you have some adrenaline its actually very easy to take down bosses.
Hunter is actually the class that can do the most 1 hit damage in the game.
As long as you hit the right spot.

Well thats personal preference. I always play archer/stealth builds in games and its a ton of fun for me, much more then the close combat.

I think against a warrior build Hunter is the most broken, multi-shot actually feeds you more adrenaline than you can have when you have an engraving giving adrenaline on kills. Using multi-shot with death arrows is a one shot for most, two shot for polemarchs, and this thing hits 8 people at most. I haven't even tried it with Battlecry and Slow Time but in conquest battles you can end it with 100+ kills in less than 30 seconds.

There's also devastating shot which is very balanced, killing mercenaries in one headshot at every range.

I just can't work out the game mechanics. I have a huge problem with using Predator Shot.
Doesn't work for mer. It seems I have to target the enemy first by pressing the R Stick down. I tried on some goats. If I first target the goat then press LT+Y the animation for the predator shot comes up (like somehow zoomed in to aim).

If the enemy is to far away to target with R, I can't do the predator shot. So it seems this will be useless. I used the predator shot in Origins to take out enemys from far away, seems this is not possible anymore?!

It's more viable than melee only. Way more viable actually. Ranged is very strong in this game and it's just so easy to use it even at close range and just dodge enemies. I feel like melee damage should be tuned up a notch to make it feel more powerful and match ranged.

Ending Battlefields with 89 kills 5 Captains dead and the unique dead. Typically battlefields are over in a few minutes. pure hunter build.

yeh 2 or 3 minutes, and attacking not defending..supposed to be "Hard" and my side still has like 75% or more bar left. basically solo the enemy army while your side is distracting them. Multi-shot mowing down the enemy lawn.
