What's the point of engraving?

I don't get it. Why would I engrave my items if they're going to be obsolete in a few levels? Is it meant to be for super end game?

You know you can upgrade equipment with stat bonuses you like to your current level at the same place you do engravings right?

Its useful for weapons because of engravings like 15% damage increase, and legendary engravings like normal damage is fire damage. Of course other ones are useful depending on your play style. What i mean is 15% assassin damage increased.

Using out-dated gear that increases stealth damage is worth it. If you're looking to assassinate anyone that is.

Engraving gives you a small boost early on, but later on when you unlock legendary gear and get the best engravings like +15% assassin / warrior / hunter damage you can start one-shotting everything with a single ability.

Yes but upgrading is also expensive. Not exactly swimming in cash this game.

Lets say you have 1 set of legendary armors, that will unlock new engraving

"Plus 10% attack" (example)

With engraving, you can put that effect to any other amors, which means you don't need to stuck into 1 set of armor. So you can build your best build, your overpowered build as you like.

If you play it on Nightmare mode, and reach level 40++ ish.. believe me, engraving is one of the important thing

Dude i'm level 36 with 200,000 gold. How are you 50 with 20k ?

If you have a engraving that can be applied to all armor slots, you can stack them for a massive bonus.

Like +30% crit damage when full health, applied to all armor.

Anyone who's on normal mode or higher. If you play easy mode you don't need to worry about gear.

Some items can be used from the moment you got it till you reach lvl50
And stats will upgrade, you are able to engrave 5% critical at lower level, a bit of level up later you willcsee that you unlock the 20% critical, at that time you can engrave again.....

Anyway, i have the "time" armor set. Im level45 now, It appears that most of the time the armor im using is superior than most of my loots.
