Your favorite armor and weapon builds
Wanted to create a build discussion so we can all share what we like to use and give advice to others.

Here's one of mine that doesn't require dead-on accuracy to commit to:
Purple set with great damage and effective in long fights against multiple strong enemies.

Armor
First stat: no preference
Second: Adrenaline
Third: Overpower or Specific weapon damage
Fourth: Crit chance or damage
Endgame fourth: go for the achilles(2% of damage you deal, heals) or greek heroes trait (20% to all resistances) for the chest

Weapons
First: no preference
Second: Adrenaline Or Overpower
Third: Damage specific to the weapon/Fire/Poison or Adrenaline/Overpower
Fourth: Crit chance or damage
Endgame Fourth: A useful combo is using the Perma Poison/Fire weapons with the 15% more Poison/Fire and buildup trait. It saves up another skill slot and if the crits don't kill them, the conditions will.

Skills:

If your first trait in armor and weapons is primarily warrior damage
Bar 1: Second Wind, Flame or Poison, Bull Rush, Shield Breaker
If it is primarily assassin damage. Use Hero strike instead of bull rush.

Bar 2: I'm not really a fan of swapping bars in combat so I never use it. You could put more utility on one bar but swapping a bar when you are in dire need of healing is a risk.
Bow: Only two skills i use for the bow are predator and devastating.

This build focuses on building up adrenaline fast to use overpower as much as possible. My favorite weapons to use specifically for overpower are heavy blunt, heavy bladed and staffs. Heavy blunt and bladed weapons allow for chain kills. Staffs are quick and their overpower has much better aoe and crowd control than the spear.

I just stack posions % and use a weapon that has engrave weapon dose posion damage.

I swap bar's i put stealthish skills on bar two and start out on that bar. Then swap to bar 1.

I use the warriors fury thing and overpower attack with stacking poision damage I'm dealing insane damage at 36. I hit a legendly animal for 200k crit overpower attack at 36.

I only grab Devastating Shot, Archery Master, Arrow Master and Sixth Sense since they're actually insane with the Artemis set on and a variety of damage increasing engravings. It feels amazing to one shot a captain with a normal arrow because he looked at you.

This set-up doesn't cost many ability points later so I went for the standard stealth build, hero strike, assassination skills, rush assassinate, shadow of nyx. With Warrior I grabbed the kick, shield break, the heal and the battlecry while also grabbing Overpower and gear master / weapon master.

I got 6 spare ability points that I don't know what to spend though, Predator Shot looks cool but kinda useless now that I can hit every show. Any recommendations?

I'm just using my adrenaline decrease cost and increase gain. As well as 30% total armor on everything i can. Swing as much as i can then shoot them with 20% damage increase to devastating shot with death arrows.

Usually ends pretty badly for the enemy.

I'm going through my second playthough and using stuff I didn't focus on but one thing i noticed was how important crit chance and damage was. What everything else was is suddenly irrelevant. All your weapons, assassinations, and abilities are pumping huge crits all the time. I was using a crit build with poison and overpower dmg elements with a staff. I would collect adrenaline fast and use overpower to aoe 100k poison hits 6 times. If the target didn't die, the poison softened them up enough to finish after.

And to answer your question, yes, predator shot gets kinda useless after a while when you can be more consistant with devastating shot. Its up to you if you want to keep it.

Nice combo, I liked my tank build from the greek heroes set with extra armor and health where ever it was needed. Provides the option make a mistake a dozen times, haha.

Anyone using the glass cannon pole arm?... Think it increases damage by 100% and caps health at 25% its great fun :D

I played the hunter build for awhile but got bored since its so overpowered its not even funny no challenge at all using Devastating shot to 1 shot a merc on Hard difficulty. (I admit i just cannot do nightmare my parry/dodge reaction are not good enough). Unless i use the hunter build..

I haven't really tried adding Crit Chance and Crit Damage engravings yet, or tried poison / fire skills. So far I've been just using stealth whenever possible, rushing fights with Hero Strike into an instant Overpower attack with Sword / Dagger and then using Nyx to reset for assassinations, and thats if they even survived. Wondering if Multi Shot, Spread Shot or Slow Time is worth taking since they look really cool, multi shot especially for conquest battles and explosive shots.

Never actually thought about multi shot with explosive arrows....and in conquest battles haha. Slow time is alot of silly fun because you can hit it, walk to their back, and do a charged melee attack or build up fire and poison and adrenaline before it runs out.

I'm probably going to make that build this playthrough. I took my ship there after i left Kephallonia just so I could make a build whenever i wanted. I want to try full hunter with that trait and also the immortal trait that gives me 20% hp after I die so i get a second chance.

Glass cannon pole with hunter build is insane. Just grab as much fire damage as you can.

And with fire weapon skill, the rain of destruction hit about 160k each.
Yavanna Oct 13, 2018 @ 3:55am
So I just tried explosive arrows with multi-shot in a conquest battle. This is the most insane combo ever, you never run out of adrenaline and you constantly have to keep making arrows every 5 shots, but MAN do you destroy everything. I died 3 times doing this because I kept blowing myself up but it was the funnest build ever.

I also tried it with Death Arrows and they just one shot everything, I think multi-shot might actually be a hidden gem.

Yeah both the elements in this game are grossly overpowered im using Snake Set with a dagger with poison always on and a bow with normal arrows do poison and stacked with poison damage/engraves its plain silly im two shotting mercs at 48 with devastating shot lol.

I have so many poison and intoxication buffs, my charcter should be wearing a hazmat suit and slammin' a shot of Jimmy Beam after every kill! Couple that with 60% buff on both Predator and Devastating shots (one of each on all three weapons) and it's straight up chemical warfare. Good thing the Geneve Convention wouldn't take place for another couple millenia.
