Fire arrows - worth the resources?

I wonder if arrow master is worth investing sp into or should i just go with normal arrows? My build is half points in assasin tree, half in hunter.

I use fire arrows mostly against legendary animals, and to set supply crates on fire from a safe distance. Granted you wont be able to loot the crate before destorying it, but depending on the situation is totally worth it, since finding resources is no issue.

Setting bosses on fire is also fun and hilarious.

Edit: Forgot to mention since you are not investing in warrior tree that has the flaming attack abilities, they will most likely be your only source of fire damage. You can always give it a go and if you dont find it useful respec.

I thought having to many arrow types was just a hassle, so I just use the basic paralyze setup cause you get a unique type of arrow later on without having to worry about the skill. Also there are passives that turn your attacks into fire and poison anyway

I don't make them but once you have the ability they show up when you loot arrow stands in forts. That keeps me supplied with all special arrows.

It is also worth mentioning, seeing as you are going half hunter, that devastating shot will increase the elemental buildup of fire and posion arrows, making them more effective at applying the DoT.
