Bounty hunters really annoying
The are always interupting almost anything I might be doing and seem to have homing radar to my exact spot.

Got really annoyed initially, but after a while, I just snapped and enjoyed going after them instead. Slight hint of a bounty, I go after the character offering the bounty too.

Beginning of the game when I went around and attacked everyone and ran away I noticed I was getting alot of bounties.

Now I finish enemies off completely and dont run away, or stealth everything. No more bounties.

They seem to put bounties on you if they live to tell the tale, or if civilians witness crimes.
Yes they're annoying.... however, bounty hunter will climb stuff to follow you.

Whenever I got a bounty on me I need dealt with, I find a nice tall location. Climb up it. Trigger the Bounty Hunter nearby. Let him climb the whatever, and right when he gets to the top, I scream "THIS IS SPARTA!" and Spartan Kick him off the cliff to his instant death.

The problem with that strategy is that you're not actually in sparta so the mercenary's last thought before he hits the ground is; "This guys an idiot!"

You've got to remember that without mass media only spartans would get the reference and even they'd think it was weird that you're using an expression from their great grandparents time.

Not really. You have to be smart and use stealth and then kill them one by one or use some abilities to take 60-80% of health, finish them with those warrior top tier abilities or if they're in group use that nuclear arrow strike, it deals insane damage. Game gives u plenty of choices. But yeah, you can't do anything about 5 stars

It gets less of a problem the further into the game you go, you learn to manage them much better., you can afford to pay some off, and you learn better stealth/stealing techniques to avoid getting a bounty in the first place.

Haha, I was wondering what the mechanic behind them appearing was. Reminds me very much of the way they were done in Skyrim. Makes sense now.

I got an alert that one was too powerful for me, and by the time I ran into him, I was only 1 lvl below him. Took him down fairly easily early in the game. Unlike in AC Origins where they consistently wiped me out until I learned how to take them down.

I think it's a fun aspect of the game, and it certainly spices things up a bit. I could see where 3 or more attacking me at once would be a nightmare though. Still, might be fun to try... :-)

The protagonist is supposed to be Heracles or Kyniska (even though she happened after Odyssey's time period) - a hero aspiring masses - stop killing innocents or stop whining that you're being chased for killing them.

But I haven't killed any innocents, just stole some stuff while people were watching. They were nice big treasure chests, with fancy map icons and everything... I HAD to take it!! ;-)

I never noticed a purse icon for the one who hired the bounty hunter though. Maybe I just missed it.

If I am clearing a fort and notice that I have a bounty on me then I simply go to the map menu and pay it off. I pay off the bounty a lot when I am not in the mood for them to show up. Much easier than finding and killing the sponsor.

Shoot I had two mercs literally spitting distance from the fort I was clearing and on their way to engage me and I paid off the bounty and their icons turned white and they left.

Get call to arms so you can ambush them. Its easy to hide in the middle of a fight so you can call a companion. It doesnt work in conquest though

Thanks for that tip. Maybe once or twice would be interesting, but that would get old quick.

Hmm, will have to look into that. Could be some interesting encounters. Game just gets more awesome all the time. :-)

Doesn't really matter what people are saying about having a bounty hunter on you...its ancient greece. we don't have smart phones. We don't have GPS. I don't have to kill anyone. I just fast travelled and now I am sitting at my lookout using the bird to watch him and as soon as I loaded in he started sprinting across the map towards my new location. He always seems to know where I am regardless of whether or not I have killed someone. It is obnoxious and buggy.

EDIT: after five minutes of watching him run toward me I fast travelled back. now he is right at the bottom of the fast travel point standing there looking up at me. This is kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb.
