Like it would be stupid to have a dagger that does poison damage but your set increases the burning rate of the fire effect
Its all about what goes well together
I would recommend the snake set with the dagger of kronus
Engravings would be:
Weapon: Weapon damage becomes poison damage
Helmet: Crit damage
Gloves: Crit Chance
Chest: Elemental buildup
Waist: Elemental Buildup
Boots: Warrior Damage
Or you could do something like the agamemnon set with prometheus's sika
Engravings would be:
Weapon: Weapon damage becomes fire damage
Helmet: Crit damage
Gloves: Crit chance
Chest: Elemental buildup
Waist: Elemental buildup
Boots: 1% all damage
OR! If you want to try my favorite set use the legendary pirate set with gorgoneion xiphos
Engravings would be:
Weapon: Weapon damage becomes poison damage
Helmet: Crit damage
Gloves: Crit chance
Chest: Crit damage
Waist: Warrior damage
Boots: 100% damage but health capped at 25%
The pirate set is about critting and being stealthy
The snake set is about poison damage and melting the enemies
The agamemnon set is about triggering the fire ticks faster, thus having more elemental buildup will apply fire effect faster and fire damage will increase the damage per tick
To add, sets don't seem worth it to me since when you get them, you learn to engrave their set bonuses to epic gear thus making them obsolete. Epic item has 3+1 properties in each item while set items only have 2+1. Stupid design imo.
