Dismantling is pointless
Just realized dismantling weapons is pointless. Why dismantle when you can sell and then buy materials from every black Smith you come across? Materials are super cheap compared to the amount of junk weapons you can sell.

Not every merchant sells olive wood, but every weapon dismantles into it.

I have more iron, leather, and drachmae than I know what to do with, but wood for ship upgrades is in short supply, even when I buy it all up at every blacksmith and rip out every small tree I pass by.

And as always, it's better to have an option you'll never need, rather than need an option you'll never have.

Don't sell, dismantle. You get insane amounts of materials without realizing. Money is so easy to get (all quests reward you money plus whatever you loot from various locations / enemies).

Resources not so much, unless you enjoy spelunking for gems & iron, or stopping to loot every resource node on map, you will be hard pressed.

I disenchant everything while leveling, lvl 30 currently and I have an almost fully upgraded ship and can keep all my legendary items at my level without going resource bankrupt.
