how do you knock out animals?
I have the TAME ability

you need to knock out the animal to tame it, i.e lion or wolf

Cannot figure out how to tame or knock out, i end up killing the dam thing

Sparta kick can't kill unless it's from fall damage to my understanding

As well as the 1st level of arrow masters allows to craft arrows that can knock out things.

you can also switch to fist fight ( unarmed) for the last hit when you reduced his life
there's also kncking arrow but it kills them sometime.

You can also Inventory - remove weapon and punch animals.

Yeah, kicking an animal isn't nice, but it's still better than running them through with a spear.
