Disable level scaling entirely?
Is there a way now? The update didn't really change anything, except giving you a way to make everything equally easier, which isn't what I want. I'd like to disable it altogether and have zones with varying levels, which give me both easy and hard encounters for diversity.

Like how everything has a fixed level range in the beginning: Lemnos 42-48, Chios 46-50, etc. Instead of always matching the player level as soon as it gets there.

There was the ACO Tweak pack mod over on nexus, its out of date now though. Best tweak was the ability to turn off slowing down your horse in town. Full gallop was so nice in big cities.
It also had the ability to adjust the scaling delta to your preference. So you could do the 2 or 4 like they implemented or go more dramatic like 20+ or even all the way off (100). Off was a bit too easy, but 20 feels about right. Normal mobs were trash that your lv 70 character with legendary weapons could pretty much 1 shot. Mercenaries still came at your level though, which was fine since they are suppose to be harder.

I meant mods/cheats wise, since having the option potentially means a way to manipulate its behaviour.

Its a sad thing we will never see level scaling be turned off officially now our only choice is to use mods it seems. a sad day indeed.
and for the record I don't believe it's that hard for the dev team to turn it off, they just don't want to. I bet it's couse of those silly little microtransactions they are putting in more and more single player games. a big disapointment.

That's actually great. I hope Vahndaar updates it eventually or releases the partial byte mask to the public. Can't wait to disable this junk.

Why you would do that to your self, braking whole game experience how it was been designed.

I don't think you know what you are talking about. It has nothing to do with making yourself a god or making the game easier. It's making it harder.

How decreasing enemy level is making game harder ?
Cause that is what the mod does !
You want have game harder? Play in nightmare mode.

Nightmare mode doesn't make the game harder as a RPG. It doesn't increase the level of encounters, but rather changes core stats that all enemies use. If you are playing with level scaling off, Kephallonia remains a level 6 zone, while Lemnos would be 42 and Lesbos 46. If you are level 44, then without scaling you are forced to play the 42 zone for less XP and less rewards, or doing the level 46 zone for a higher risk and more reward, while Kephallonia would provide nothing because you outleveled all the poor peasants on that island. Right now, with level scaling you can just go back to Kephallonia as a level 44 zone and get the same XP and same loot as you would get anywhere else.

That piss poor Kephallonian bandit sitting in his cave since the start of the game? Well he drops a level 44 legendary weapon now. How is that not easy? Stop deluding yourself.
