There are a ton of guides. Here is one.

Are epics available in combinations that are not in this list?
In the game there are a handful of items that come with engravings that are unique to the type of gear and is not available any other way. Shroud of Penelope for example. This is the only head gear with +Chance for crit. You cannot engrave head gear with this, so this unique piece is what can get you up to 10% more chance.
Often you will get a piece of gear like this and not even know it. Many people sell it or disassemble it only to find out later they may need it for a particular build.
That is what I was trying to find. A list of these items so I can store them on the ship and not risk losing them.
If you CTRL-F to find crit chance on page a lot of results come up for what gear has that engraving.
Basically, every item in the game has an unique "Hash ID" (like a code that the game uses to identify them), but there are certain items that, additionally, have a secondary ID.
So, while having a "non-unique" appearance (aka not being Legendary) these items still have unique names, descriptions and perk combinations. These items are usually found as rewards for sidequests (some might depend of choices made during those) or inside specific chests in temples or other locations.
As far as I know, there is an excel table with the names of "some" of these items (and their parent/override Hash IDs in case you wish to use cheatengine to unlock them) but I don't really know if it's complete as its author never mentioned it.
If you wish, I can send you a link but it would have to be via chat, because this excel file also contains info that can be used for cheating.
You would know something is unique just by looking at the gear you pick up once you get familiar with the perks are normally allowed for each gear type. You'll eventually & naturally know these things just by your actual experience of playing. If there was a list online, that's how the person would've ID'ed them. Maybe you could be that guy.
For extra reference, here's a builder that lists out all the normally allowed perks for each gear type:
https://ac-builds.com/create/gear
For example -- if you're looking for crit chance, look at the dropdowns for each gear pieces, and you'll see that crit chance is not present for helmets. Therefore, if you happen to find any helmet with crit chance, then you'd know it's unique or a fluke.
