XP after 50?
Is it me or does the XP gain get painfully slow after level 50? It's taken me as long to get to 55 as it did to get from 40 to 50. I can't imagine how slow it'd be trying to get to cap. Is there a good way to gain XP at higher levels or do they really expect you to grind for another 100+ hours?

Google.

If I remember right, exp is soft-locked in New Game, as in exp is locked to the level of the region you are in. So doing a quest in Kephallonia when you're level 50 won't give you much, if any, exp. For you to start gaining scaling exp, you have to get into New Game +. Enemies and point of interests scales alongside you. Meaning an enemy's (and everything, really) minimum level will be similar to your own. So no matter what content you do in NG+, the exp will be appropriate for your level.

I had the impression that quests in Atlantis DLC yield more XP, but I'm not sure.

Well, you are def not going to like XP after 70. Which I have read you need 25+ million XP for each new level.

Saw this video for XP boosting but not sure if they still work. Will try at some point as I am now at level 64.

I didn't notice that myself, but I am one of the those people that visit every location and clear the whole map. By chapter 5 or 6 I hit level 99, I don't remember exactly now. If you do all the side quests, town board quests and kill any mercenary you see you level up pretty well. The only quest line I didn't complete while still on chapter 5 or 6 was the fate of atlantis & legacy of the first blade (unlocks in chapter 7) quest line.

Make some board quest with golden XP. Or do some players quests. I make hole map too and hit level 87.

Since I had level scaling on and everyone was my level or above, I did not notice such things. IIRC, I finished the majority of the game at level 67.

Including Atlantis?

Nah, I have yet to statt it, though I have killed all of those mythical creatures in Greece to seal or open or whatnot the gates. As I understand, there's a further story afterwards?

Yes there is - some 15 more hours of playing outside of Greece: Elysium, the Underworld and Atlantis itself . I found it boring but others do not agree. Even I agree that the views are terrific.... but use your own discretion.

Also you get the Dikastes armor, prolly the mos fun item in the game, especially if you like conquest battles. However you only get it in Atlantis, towards the end of the DLC.

I've got level scaling on but the XP has still been slow. That said, I just got to Elysium and the quest XP has been four times what I was getting with the main quest. I also didn't even realise there was New Game +. I feel like I was living under a rock.

Quite a comfortable rock! :P

Yes. I got into the DLC at 62 or 63 and came out 93, and it's not that long. I wasted lots of time getting my bearings and figure that I'm actually encouraged to smash the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ figurines (if you haven't yest, do for a sweet surprise).

The grind is long can't deny it, but do wars/bounty/daily quests and you might be able to reach your goal, people may easily hit higher levels with the XP booster they sell, at lvl 60/70 without the booster you might get something like 40/60k if i'm not wrong and with it you hit 80/90k per higher xp mission rewards. imo the best way to level up is to grind wars/contracts that may give higher xp and sequential assassinations. plus if you have the dlcs you still hit 99 either way completing everything on the maps. Now it depends on you if you're a completionist or if you just want to finish the game and nothing less. also you don't need to start a new game nor does the XP cap on other regions get lower, they all give the same amount it doesn't change. No need to worry about focusing on only one region. Another tip, you can go and do the DLC's but remember that you won't lose anything getting started with it at lvl 55/65. The higher the lvl the higher will be the prices to level up your gear plus enemies/boss dmg. So only get your level high if you feel that it'll be comfortable for you.

On level 99 you need 2.416.270 exp to get a new master level.

Going around the world collecting cross-quests for conquest accelerates xp accumulation considerably (already mentioned here but I want to elaborate). Choose a state to conquer. Lets assume it's under Athenian rule. Now teleport around the world and take contracts such as "Kill Athenian Marks man", "Kill Athenian leaders", "burn Athenian supplies" "weaken enemy state" and "rob Athenian national treasures". Usually you can easily get 4-5 such quests, so when you get to the job you get many of them done along the way. I had 2 level-ups in the same fort clearing utilizing this.
