The Drunk Cultist (spoiler?)

There is a drunk cultist in Attika that is in a fort to the north of the city. I know this because I had to look it up. I have no idea how to trigger his quest or the one that comes before him. I need 2 more pieces to upgrade my spear and for the life of me, I can’t find that cultist!

Please help

PS yes, I’ve googled it and I still can’t figure it out. Ugh!

Do you refer to Hermippos? You can get him if you kill the polemarch of Attica's fort to the north. You will get the clue when you loot the polemarch body. This will expose Hermippos in the city of Athens.

EDIT: Coming to think of it you may refer to Hexanor. You get him as part of the main plot after the 1st time you fight Deimos.

EDIT EDIT, or maybe EDIT^2: There is another way to expose Hermippos that I don't remember exactly, but it has to do with a quest from Hippocrates. Also, check your inventory if you think there's a chance you already killed the polemarch and may have missed that you also got the clue.

Last EDIT, I swear: I googled and the quest from Hippocrates is called Free Speach. This is a part of a quest line that starts with Alkibiades in the symposium at Pericles house (that is part of the plot).

Drunk Cultist in Attika doesn't ring a bell.

From the Eyes of kosmos branch, the one that took a while was Hermippos, you reveal him through the side quests by Alkibiades and Sokrates that start with "Citizenship test" (or something) and Free Speech.
This one had "Cultist owns a quarry in Attika, help people nearby" and that "helping" was side quests for Alkibiades and Sokrates.

Hippokrates missions are part of main story, and they reveal another cult member from other branch.

It will be easier to know which branch you referring, and what hints you have so far.

edit: wait, I think is The Master that owns the quarry... lol just provide the branch and the hints you have and which ones you have found already :-D

I can’t look at the cultist screen while I’m in Elysium. I’ll take a look when I’m through this and ask a better question. Thanks!

But, I will add that the cultist clue says this cultist hangs out with a hatera (spelling?). Maybe that will help.

Ah, pretty sure the rest of the clue for that cultist says "Continue your Odyssey" so you have to continue the main quest line.

I think I just did that one, and is through another character you have to meet to keep looking for your mom. Anthousa (?)

It's commander Rhexenor. Continue the main story and you'll get to him.

ah you right, I still haven't killed that one, but it does say "Continue your Odyssey" so I will encounter him soon(tm)
The ones I got through Anthousa and Hippokrates during main quests are from other branch.

I have been continuing my story. I have already met anthousa. I’ve reached the point where I’m about to go to war and fight Deimos. It seems weird that I can’t fully upgrade my spear until after I fight Deimos, no?

In this case, I don’t mind a spoiler, unless it is suppose to happen after I fight Deimos. If so, just tell me that.

I love how the game encourages you to divert and do side quests etc in order to advance the main narrative. I've found some cultists purely by chance.

According to Google, you find that cultist though one of the main quests called A-Musing Tale, that's pretty far ahead, chapter 8: https://guides.gamepressure.com/assassins-creed-odyssey/guide.asp?ID=46611

not sure where exactly you are.

And yeah, I've killed few cultists just by shear luck.
Last one I was just exploring Boetia, and looking for a fight, saw this NPC riding a horse with a name, and I just attacked her.... turned out she was a cultist

Haha! It was literally the next mission after the battle with Alexios. I just had to do that instead of doing the Atlantis DLC! Oy vey.
