- A level 9 sword would deal 90 damage (just for demonstration), and the perk attached to it will have +6% warrior damage
- A level 10 sword would deal 100 damage, and the perk stays at +6% warrior damage.
- A level 11 sword would deal 110 damage, but the perk increases to 8% warrior damage.
- Every single level, you weapons and gear's base increases a bit.
- Every 10 levels, all the perks increase a bit.
Every time non-legendary loot is generated, the perks themselves are semi-RNG, meaning that there is an algorithm that slightly favor generating the perks match the actions you're currently encountering. For example:
- if you've been fighting animals with poison and ranged weapons, your loot will have a better chance of generating +animal damage / poison / +hunter damage on your loot.
- if you've been performing a lot of stealth attacks, your loot will have a better chance of generating +assassin damage
and so on.
edit add: because of this, if you were to take the stealth approach, then you only need to manage gear at every 10 levels because conventional damage and defense is not needed during stealth. There are also plenty of other systemic reasons why stealth is the better way to play an AC game, which for some reasons people like to cling on the narrative that Odyssey is not.
The game tracks a lot of action you make and adjust the loot on top having RNG, so that every player will have the majority of the type of perks they want on their weapon without purposefully grind for them like other loot-based games. Although, IMO the algorithm sometimes gives you too much of the same thing over and over again.
If keep doing Bow and Assassin acts, I'll get the perks?
My now issue is where to get wood 🤣
And when I mean 'junk', I mean the stuff that's in your pants. Kidding aside, you dismantle gear that you don't need. Bows return the most wood, follow by wearables. Each type of gear returns more of one kind of resource. You also get resources from stealing supplies, and you pick wood and metals if you venture off the grid. Shops also sell resources. At a certain point, you're gonna have too much 'wood'
Also, Archery Master at higher tier negates the use of regular arrows when you're using hunter abilities.
Awesome...that actions affect your loot. how do you get that information?
I should be level 50 actually, but after I joined some random custom story, my level somehow goes to 99 immediately even after I got back from the custom story.... kinda weird but okay, I dont want to reset from beginning
Do I just keep killing Mercs until one shows up?
