2. For Total Warrior Damage, the calculation looks like this:
(Warrior Base Damage + Weapon Damage + Warrior Engraving Damage) * ((Weapon Engraving Damage) + (Elemental Engraving Damage)) * (Crit Damage) * (Abilities Damage) * (Armor Penetration)
In your case the priority should be: Weapon Damage, Warrior Damage, and Elemental Damage, in that order. You can calculate this yourself. One by one, equip an item with just one of those three damage types. Make a note of how much warrior damage changes as a result. Choose the winner.
Best wishes
Swordhand dont matter. You can switch swords by pressing T (not holding it, that brings up the torch).
Incorrect.
No matter what weapon you employ, It is always stronger on the left hand side.
You can easily test this yourself. Choose any weapon, and move it from right to left. The inventory screen will always display a higher damage value on the left hand side.
There is absolutley no difference. I just tested it my self. Same stats on everything.
Yes, the Bighorn Bow really amplifies the difference. That difference is incredible. Left side warrior damage is nearly double right side warrior damage. Yet even without it, the left side warrior damage is a few percent larger than the right side warrior damage. This is easy to demonstrate.
On the inventory screen strip down to bare handed and no gear. Like this:

Notice that the left side warrior damage is 40 points higher than the right side.
Add a full set of warrior damage kit, and the left side will be about 200 or so points larger than the right side. Like this:

Swap any weapon back and forth, right to left. It will have a higher warrior damage value on the left hand side.
In combat, (because the damage shown on the inventory screen gets multiplied by things like Fire damage, Crit damage, Armor penetration, and the like), the difference grows larger again. Depending on the build, a weapon can be thousands of points stronger when equipped on the left side. But you will never see this if the attack is made on some low health being. If they drop in one stroke from either weapon slot, damage is not being measured.
Rather the attack must be made on a strong character, (a national leader, a polemarch, a mercenary). Someone who does not drop in one stroke. Depending upon the build, weapons equipped on the left side of the inventory screen will cause a few percent more damage than if equipped on the right.
How curious.
This very question pops up in other forums from time to time. Some say it does not ever happen some say it always happens. You can't seem to get it to trigger. I can't get it to not trigger.
I don't see anything pointing to any ability, spear level, progress level, new perks, or anything that will explain it.
I wonder if simply owning the Bighorn Bow makes the difference. The Bighorn Bow is the strongest weapon in the game. It multiplies both left side weapon damage and hunter damage by a huge amount. The bow is mislabeled at the Ubisoft store. It does more than it claims. Plus it is free, provided you have not spent your free Helix credits. If not, it is cheap.
I own the Bighorn bow. No matter what i try, i can't get left side damage to be the same as right side warrior damage to be the same. The left is always bigger. I can't disown the Bighorn bow. So i can't test it.
Perhaps you might be able to do that. Do some relevant screen shots before the purchase, and then some after.
Best wishes
I don't mean to intrude, but I found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hliawSatsSI
Fast forward to the 1:35 minute mark
Perhaps this may clear up some confusion?
Yes it does. Thank you.
Can more Armor points produce more defense against ranged and elemental attacks such as Arrows and Bombs (or fire arrows / bombs) or Isu magics like Kolosai laser? Thanks.
No. For defense you want resistances. Skip the armor. You seem to be far enough in the game to develop a 100% melee resistance build. 90% of the attacks in the game are melee attacks. Just dodge the ranged attacks. Use second life when you miss the dodge.
I don't depend much on Resistance/ Defense, they're just optional. I chose my Equipment / Engravings and Ability points mostly focused on maximum Adrenaline gain. It suits for my play-style best. I use Adrenaline as much as possible. This way i can handle even 10 enemies at once, even on Nightmare Difficulty. My gameplay footage below-
