Is the Atlantis DLC really worth it?
I've pretty much finished the main game, thinking of starting a new playthrough soon; was wondering if the Atlantis DLC is substantial and fresh enough to warrant starting another long playthrough

Most people seem to like it far more than the Legacy of the First Blade, and it provides several brand new regions to explore.

It's pretty substantial, and brings with it a lot of really nice new items and abilities. If you played the spirit-world simulations in Curse of the Pharaohs, portions of it are very much like a Greek-myth version of of that, except more in-depth and with the introduction of Odyssey's territory-conquering gameplay. I found it thoroughly enjoyable.

For me its absolutly worth.
Alone for the architecture and mapdesign alone.
It's plain out gorgeous.
Specially after playing thru the Underworld it is a very welcome contrast in terms of the atmosphere when you finally get to Atlantis.

But honestly i am not sure if starting a whole new playthru is worth it.
I would just continue your character and advance in the three Episodes.

Elysium -> Underworld -> Atlantis.

But i do warn you. This content is HUUUUUGE.
I mean you do not have to do anything, but i could not resist and spent most likely 100 hours allready in the DLC alone AND i am not even finished yet. :slimehappy:

It does not change the formular for the gameplay completly but in my opinion it continues it in a good fashion.

Not really.
Maybe for the excellent 1v1 fights and seeing the story to the end.

But aside from that and very pretty landscapes its a slog with some of the grindiest types of quests ever put into games right in episode one. "Do this and that to weaken X hold in region X", over and over...
Second part is better with fun 1-1 fights and have some recurring characters for story bits and then back to slog-quests in episode 3.

There are a couple of boss fights and unique weapons/engravings that are pretty nice. Overall though I’d give it a pass
