That said, they've always been forcing Uplay even here, so what's the problem with buying it there?
Credit where it's due, at least they didnt leave Epic as the only choice.
They now have a exclusive multi year contract with EPIC for the distribution of all their games outside their own UPLAY client.
So the chances of this coming to Steam was zero to begin with and will be zero for many years till their contract expires.
Nobody knows. The only thing that is known is that it was not just a " 1 year/6 month" exclusive deal like with many other games that did go EPIC and then later came to Steam.
Because multiple games like "Anno 1800" or "Division 2" are already older then 1 year and no sign of a Steam release in sight.
So its definitely a complete exclusive contract for their whole catalog for the foreseeable future.
Do the math. My guess is that Tencent gave Epic games $250,000,000 to give to Ubisoft for the PC rights.
Tencent also owns 5% of Ubisoft
No lets completely skip the biggest PC gaming platform because they take moneeeeee off us
Not having a proper Steam forum for the game
that is easy to manevure unlike Ubisofts normal forums
which are absolutly terrible if you want to find an answer to a problem with one of their games.
I really like steam achivements.
and having the option to post screenshots from the game on steam activities
to share with your friends.
So No steam NO THANK YOU.

You know this game is going be also on Uplay , Ubisoft store ?
You got Ubisoft forums.
On Uplay you have achievements and for some you get U-credits, witch then you can use to get DLCs from Uplay Club or use for 20% discount Coupon for other Ubisoft game.
Funny thing is. Steam is the second most consumer friendly platform that Ubisoft leaves. The first being GOG.
