[SOLVED] Left-click stops working...
I have this weird bug whereby the LMB sometimes stops working. Tried playing on a different computer with a different mouse, it's still the same.

Solution: Don't use Steam/Uplay overlays. I turned both off and the bug is gone.

If it's not one thing, it's another, eh? :-)

If it's random, I have no idea, other than to try closing everything out that's running in the background, to hopefully get rid of some program that's interfering. A lot of chat type apps, like Discord, and then overlay type programs will "hook into" games and cause all sorts of weird issues with key presses. I'm assuming they might affect mouse button clicks too.

If it happened all the time, I would be thinking maybe a corrupt input file or something similar.

Have you updated Windows, and all the DirectX stuff too? VCRedist, etc.

that's quite weird, spent 120h in the game so far - zero bugs

😂 Seems like it doesn’t it.

I have Steam overlay and Uplay overlay? ☹️ I will turn them off and see if it happens again. Thank you very much for your suggestions, I’ll try updating the other stuff too!

Yeah there do seem to be some glitchy kb/m conflicts with this game. For me and a handful of others, it's movement related. (When moving, can't stop - without using aurorun.)

Just a warning that disabling the uplay overlay will disable some of the server-side game functions like orichalcum.

OMG...

If your left-mouse has been disabled in the game, follow my steps, it worked for me.
1. Access: C:\Users\*your_profile*\Documents\Assassin's Creed Origins.
2. Click ACO.ini.
3. Ctrl+F
4. Type "KeyboardMouse", enter
You will see 2 settings:
KeyboardMouseEnabled and AutoSwitchEnabled, change them to
KeyboardMouseEnabled=1
AutoSwitchEnabled=0
Save and Close .ini
5. Right-Click on ACO.ini => Properties => Change Attributes to Read Only => Ok.
6. Restart PC.
7. Start game again and it, maybe, worked for you.
