Socrates... Sokrates... Put a Sockrates in it?
Jokes aside, my question is why this game is the only time i've ever seen it spelt sokrates.
I've studied a good amount of philopsophy and never seen this.
Is there a reason i'm unaware of?

The 'Crates' part of his name was from "kratos", meaning power.

This will happen frequently throughout the game because most of us are familiar with the pronunciation in English, the Greeks pronounced their words differently. Just as Alcibiades is spelled Alkibiades in the game and pronounced differently in English.

the greek word of the name is ''Σωκράτης'' aka Sokrates in english ...so the ''K'' is the correct one ..xD

It's the Greek - and thus original - way of saying things.

That's a thing that got my attention when I studied....

The anglophone research almost always favors to use a Latinized form of ancient Greek names and terms.

I guess you studied philosophy in English books, right? That's why the Latinized form 'Socrates' is more familiar to you, while 'Sokrates' would be the correct transcription from ancient Greek.
