No, because in TW3 it just disables the entire HUD with no going in between (unless they patched that in later). You still had to use the minimap to be able to travel to precise points. Here you can leave certain parts off and have them integrated into your view.
In TW3 (which is a great game), I had to check my map every couple of minutes to orientate myself, then place markers and follow those around. In this game, I don't have to open the map at all and can easily orientate myself using landmarks or placed markers inside the game world itself without having to open the map or using the minimap. It's fantastic.
Which ones dude you turn off or can you SS? Trying to find a solid balance I hate markers for everything.
I turn everything off, except for region widget, player health, enemy health and xp gain.
Here's a screenshot, but since there's no combat, there's no hud icons either:

This looks really great. I think i will try it too. :)
I can see strange armor and outliers in the game I can see what IS ACTUALLY not the same, but of course the game devs thought that I need help and I need to see where the mercenary is so the icon appears as soon as this "terrible" guy or girl is near my avatar.
This is RUBBISH programming and development... but of course Ubisoft you did a very nice game... sure.
Play testing after release means you are NOT AT ALL a game developers but an usurper of that title. You have to test on EXPERIENCED PLAYERS and NOOBS before releasing a game. Not only that, you need your devs to play ENTIRELY the game before releasing: it is known and written black on white (scripta manent) that devs nowadays due to the systems in action in these "companies" do not even know WHAT GAME they are developing since they have no time to play it.
THE CHAIN BRAKES LIKE THIS: imagine I report something wrong, the issue goes to maintenance team .. since a game is "abandoned" from the original devs as soon as it gets a few months before release... imagine that report arrives... WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY GOING TO UNDERSTAND?.
Now DIY: why people say "some companies listen" to players some don't .. iut's just because it's in the DNA of the company, there are PSEUDO developers and true game developers. Ubisoft is not one of them for the most part of 10k ppl working in it.
I just don't get the point: are they here to exploit kiddos and badly informed "players" (which are not players but just gamers of the last hour) or they are here to develop Games?
Right now they are doing the first thing.
It's not "massified hate" what Ubisoft is facing, it's actually merit based critique, and they are not the only one anyway...
I really hope their CEO and stuff will leave the company to better parties.
Why so over dramatic?
They're not here to "exploit" anyone, and kids don't spend 150+ hours in a giant open world single player rpg since they're too busy with Fortnite and the likes.
I wouldn't even call it "massified hate", since it's clear it's just small percentage of players, looking at the sales, user reviews and achievement/trophy statistics.
It's more than okay to prefer the older titles in the franchise, I do too, but that doesn't mean Odyssey or Origins are bad games or don't deserve to be called Assassin's Creed.
The game\\\ ERR - THE FRANCHISE evolves and that's amazing, they show the way to many other companies not just in videogaming. There are many positive things, but they are doing wrong steps and the results are clear (unfortunately to a few apparently.. in your opinion)...
Actually the results of failure in terms of gameplay and journey in Odyssey are huge to many people not just to me.
I think it's a big problem since I wanted really badly that game to be good due to the IMPORTANCE of themes it can touch. If it was in the hands of a European better EAST european company it would have been a masterpiece..
What made me "sad" is that it won't be remade, it won't be changed, it's that and u can only change how u interpret the game but you can't really change the "content" of it.. which is soooo lack luster.
Yes u are right on me sounding "over dramatic" .. but we see much worse on drama and trolling which I just wanna say .. I am not doing. For the drama too i am not doing it for free.
Games are an important part of our culture, denying it is such a joke...
And a game on such topics calling itself even odyssey and then not really being tick of quality is such a let down.
I was soooo sooo disappointed to the arrogant push of SENSELESS quests.. "just to FARM POINTS"... what the heck?!!!
End even the main topic main quests are so "Whatever" ... Why they hired such pens to write such an improtant game? What has been their target?
Kids surely have thousands of hours to play such a game ... i dnt understand how public can simplify so much so cool topics like classical soruces all the Minor asia topics from where "democracy" comes from ... all the myths ... they have been slightly touched...it feels like a team that NEVER HAS TOUCHED AC in their life ahs made that game.
And I guess so it is.
