System like the emblem system in COD games so you can create a custom emblem for your ships etc
CO-OP!!!!!!!!!!!
Pawn system ripped off directly from Dragon's Dogma
I have some too, really simple :
-Enable a re-roll of lieutenant perks.
-Add some kind of mini games ( I loved Gwent in TW3 )
-Implement Alpha Lynx
-Implement infinite waves challenges in the arena
-More Barnabas !
-Re-Design Natakas to be a heavily scarred, bald and bearded with model of the spartan strategoi. Not that important but Natakas really looks like a clueless virgin peasant. Hell, Neema looks manlier...
Having a player base/house. Or may be a whole island like black flag.
I like to have interactions with the kings/nation leaders. It seems ridiculous that we can't talk to them. I mean there are some of those guys whom I've brought back to power (usually coz I like their story) countless times. Even then Everytime I get close to them it's restricted. Would be nice if we could interact them.
Also if we can conquer land for ourselves through conquest battles. Would've been awesome. M&B meets AC (too far fetched I supposed)
- Inventory could use filtering. Allowing the user to filtering the item lists to show only those which have those engravings, for instance; or pick an item from a legendary set, and select only the remaining parts of that set.
- Ability screen -- it would be best to find some way of showing what you get from rank 2 and rank 3 upgrades without needing to get the previous rank, for people to be better able to plan a build.
- Ability screen -- Descriptions along the lines of "overpower attacks do more damage" are not very helpful when evaluating how to prioritize it vs. other possible uses, since this gives the player no idea of *how much* it actually will help.
- Ability screen -- Descriptions like "30% more armor penetration" are not helpful without a description of how damage mechanics work and what enemy stats are like, e.g. how to weigh 30% more armor penetration vs. +50% critical hit damage, for instance. Maybe a brief reference document with basic formula would be in order.
- When upgrading an item will improve engraving values, I don't think that this is actually explicitly mentioned (unlike, say, the difference made to dps or armor).
- Chios bear pelts and the teeth of certain animals should probably be quest items up to a limited quantity; if "first N items are quest items" is not generally feasible, then they should all be quest items for the duration of the relevant quests and normal items thereafter.
- It might be good to have a loadout summary screen that shows the eight equipped w/ level, engravings and basic stats all at once, for the purpose of showing a build in a guide (vs. needing to select each item individually to show off engravings)
- Map filter: it might be good to have a filter which highlights all known locations which are known to contain an ainigmata ostraka which has not been picked up yet, considering that they are a gate that can block progression of various engravings.
- Ainigmata ostraka descriptions should include where they were picked up, because descriptions which are relative (from here go east and look for whatever) but *don't* precisely indicate their pickup location are problematic should the player actually have something more urgent to do than immediately go follow the instructions.
- When showing how much damage will be done by a non-crit attack, it might be worth considering showing how to show damage that would be done by a critical hit, too. One could consider e.g. a system where the width of an additional section corresponds to the additional damage, and the opacity of that additional section reflects critical hit probability.
The "all damage" engraving seems... off, for the level of grind. If you have to kill (and the game does require killing; I've tested with knockouts, and they don't count) 5+10+15+20+25 = 75 national leaders just to get the +5% All Damage engraving, followed by needing to drop 450K drachmae or so at Hephaestus to get +10%... it seems a lot of gratuitous assassinations for a engraving that seems like it would lose to more focused ones.
Not sure what to do about it, but it seems pretty meh.
More info in the UI re: what abilities do and whatnot would be nice, too.
Things I'd like to see:
First off, since I'm really enjoying this game, and having gotten the 'ultimate edition', I'd say that I wouldn't mind paying for another 'season' of content for AC Odyssey. So more expansion-level content would be nice.
- improved Conquest Battles: It would be great to have the battles start w/ hoplites in phalanx, then have the Eagle-bearer break the ranks of the enemy lines. It would also be nice if it didn't devolve into a free-for-all.
- also, put in an option for a more 'heroic' mode, even if only for Conquest Battles: make it feel more like Dynasty Warriors
better yet if that would mean some battles would be 'multi-stage': maybe start w/ a phalanx battle on an open field, then pursue the broken enemies fleeing toward a strongpoint, like a fort, then conclude w/ another pitched battle w/ both sides reforming phalanxes and your Eagle-bearer eventually having to fight an equal level enemy commander
- more options and 'complexity' and customization for your crew: It would be nice to tweak/customize what your crew, and lieutenants, wear and use, and maybe have options to upgrade them considerably. Even if that means spending gold and resources (I'm level 99 and am sitting on a lot resources and practically max'd out cash, plus a lot of purple weapons...kinda holding on to them in case the upcoming DLC episode has stuff to spend on again lol).
- a management 'layer' would be nice, too. While the ship is kinda like a 'base of operations', a place on land you can build up would be nice, too. Better yet if there'll be quests built around it. example: start w/ empty land, then pick up refugees to build up a town, then spend cash+resources to grow it (e.g., putting in a mission board, blacksmith, etc.), then fortify it, then eventually it'll give you some cash+resources back, but you'll also have to defend it, etc.
- I like the above suggestion for something like Dragon's Dogma's pawn mechanic. I guess maybe w/ lieutenants...but w/ more customization, and an upgrade mechanic?
(but that'd probably require a command mechanic, too, I guess, esp. since a good chunk of the game involves stealthy stuff)
- I'll second the Horse-not-having-to-slow-down, thing. I've suggested, on another thread, that, sure, allow the horse to move at full speed anywhere, incl. inside towns/cities, but maybe punish you for hitting people by aggro'ing those you hit.
- I also like the 'more Barnabas' idea. More Sokrates and Alkibiades, too. :P
TL;DR: more stuff would be nice. I'd be willing to pay for 'another season' of content. :)
Ability to create a player base, either by using either of the player houses or an island with an accessible dock (it could be built later on with resources). Have the crew disembark the ship so they're actually at your base interacting with an agora or tavern, etc. Bounty boards, quest givers (like in Black Flag for the Merchant missions after you conquered a fort).
Shields as an option. So many shields used by mercenaries, except you, it's dumb. I think it would enhance the game and let me feel like a proper Spartan since it is an RPG.
More radiant quests that have more uniqueness to them, instead of the same fetch quests or assassination quests.
More Impact quests revolving around DLC, so we can see the consequences of our actions, etc.
Ability to have ship Lieutenants accompany you on land (Call to Arms is meh at best), with their own horses if you use one, or walk/run alongside you. With an option to adopt your non-Spear related abilities like Assassination if you run an Assassin, or heavy attacks. Or you could turn it off and they just use their default attacks based on their loadouts. Just something to give players the feeling of not being alone. Besides, it'd be great to run around with Nikolaus and Stentor killing Athenians, etc.
More interactivity with regions. Hailing from Sparta, there isn't a whole lot of things to do in Sparta quest wise. Ability to become a full citizen and such of your chosen faction, so you can properly RP with your characters. Yup, you're a Mercenary, got it, but you're also the grandson of Leonidas / You saved Athens, etc, that has to count for something for walking into Spartan/Athenian camps instead of being attacked on sight. Think of how you can become leader of the Daughters of Artemis, and they'll no longer attack you, unless you attack them. Something along those lines but with Athens and Sparta.
Mini games, mini games, mini games.
Horse speed toggle in or around populated areas, or restrict the zone to be in the city/town only so you're not just trotting along before you hit the city gates.
With the player house/base implemented, the ability to go to various stalls at Agoras and buy cosmetic items for it like vases, tables, expansions, statues, have a God specific temple built, etc.
More events at sea, whether through contracts or bounties, or even dialogue from Barnabas.
The ability to obtain a few ships for a small fleet, let's say five, with a spare Lieutenant who then becomes a Commander/Captain to helm a ship, with them adopting your crew theme and ship theme/ornament. So The Eagle Bearer's fleet becomes renown throughout the Aegean.
Would like to see the now cosmetic skins for ship, crew, and horses have an actual effect on the game in terms of ability and damage etc..
