I thought it made perfect sense for Deimos to repent. I spent the entire game proving to him that his so-called adopted family were using him, had kept him from his family and tormented him; I revealed that everything they'd hold him was a lie and it is quite clear that he wants to belong, he wants that life that was denied him. He already doubted the cult, recognizes that he is being used, and clearly wants to believe what your character is offering.
What I couldn't stomach was leaving your "father" alive when sent to assassinate him. I don't care about his justification, he chose not to fight for his children and I'd have killed him again if I could.
There is still an ending to the Cult storyline and the Future story with Atlantis that you have to finish before you're done with the game.
Im always woried about making the wrong decisions and then missing out on great content and potentally endings. I think there is an Atlantas side to it which i only know enough about that will not appear if i make the wrong decision, but i would really like to see that....is this true ?
I can't imagine how you'd miss the Atlantis portion of the game but it doesn't really pick up until you're about 40th level.
You cant really miss the Atlantis ending. The game is split into 3 big story arcs, your family, Atlantis and the cult.
All have their own endings. Only the family one has a ton of variations depending on your choices during the game, the cult ending only has one choice at the end you cant miss and the Atlantis branch has no ending variations at all.
As long as you do the corresponding questlines you cant miss it.
Even after googling it for a bit there is no mention of a 5th character that can show up, which it's odd to just have a random extra one since it totally makes you feel like you made a wrong choice somewhere.
Honestly think it would've been better if they tied in your baby's daddy (as Kass) from the DLC to the dinner scene if you made that choice before entering the house for the family dinner but I see they kept both parts separate.
Assassin 101: We don't do family.
If Pythagoras is my father, who is Deimos' father?
Surely Pythagoras couldn't have slept with Myrinne twice? Then he has to answer for making Deimos? What the hell Nikolaos got cucked?
So Kassandra gives the staff to (I can't remember her name). Is that the end? We don't get to see what actually happens after?
Kass gives the random girl the stick and dies making Lilly the next immortal to carry maintaining the "balance" or whatever, which doesn't make sense unless she's a descendant from Kass (DLC quest).
My assumption is if that "real world" junk continues to be the main story line in the background it'll be expanded on in the next game.
Either way this one being my first AC game I absolutely loathe the "current time" parts. Totally jarring and took me right outta the game.
I agree, I played Assassin's Creed 1 and 2, then took a huge hiatus. The modern age story parts are like, a giant continuation? So unless I play every Assassin's Creed I won't understand it.
And even then, I'm sure there's not really all that much 'substance' to it. It's just kind of an overreaching arc that sometimes ties the old age to the new. Which is cool, but what does it really amount to or mean?
We get a whole lot of 'oooo spooky power' but never get to really see it.
