Loading resets me to level 1

I have a really, really big problem.I reloaded an auto save after messing up a quest and it spawned me on the nearest fast-travel point and I was level 1. (Previously 31) I had no equipment and even in the menus the later stuff was missing. (ship, cultists, etc.) Oh and map was all covered again.

This happened to me once before, but I reloaded an earlier save and that was fine. Now I both the save during the quest and the one after I failed it do this. (both auto-saves) I´m afraid of reloading previous manual save because if it is bad as well I´d lose hours. Oh and of course because they were auto-saves, the lvl 1 saves immediately rewrote the previous saves.

Anyone help? Please?


PS: Just to provide a little more info. I´m in Attika, at the north quarry rescuing the captain. I got him to the beach and killed the Spartans, then the quest disappeared and I found him dead. So I reloaded. (I think the quest was called "the Liberator"?
I don´t think this matters much, because as I said, it happened to me earlier as well.

I tried verifying the files and there didn´t seem to be any problem.
I managed to load a "manual" save and everything worked fine, for now, but will keep the Support Team in mind if/when it happens again. Until then I´ll make sure to make manual saves more often.
