Cant reach 60 fps, is this normal?
Hey all i just bought the game on sale and tweaking graphics settings and things trying to reach 60 fps, even on the lowest settings i cant get it to happen ive heard it's a demanding (some would say poorly optimized) game but im well over the reccomended specs and cant hit the standard fps for pc. Is this normal???

MSI GS65 Stealth 8SE Laptop
RTX 2060 GPU
Intel I7-8750h @2.20GHz
16gb DDR4
144hz screen

General info/any ideas on how to increase fps are welcome! or just tell me how ur day went idk.
Ive ensured thermal throttleing is not a factor here as i know this line of notebooks can run hot but ive applied undervolts that keep the CPU below 90 degrees Celcius

Here's a full performance guide with actual comparison on the graphic settings:

Yeah.
You need tons of CPU horsepower to run this game.
Also game loves system memory bandwith so make sure you have Ram at dual channel mode.

As with most Ubisoft games for some reason, this is hugely cpu dependant. I can only get 60fps with my 6600k if i put most setting down to low. So i just play at 30fps and put settings to max and 1440p.

Why do you need 60 fps? the game is pretty smooth at 30-40 range. My card is 1060 and I play at 2560x1440 at nearly ultra with no lag most of time (except candle fire at night)

Bro, I play this in a brand new alienware m15 R2 with 2080 and i have FPS bugs, so this game is not properly optimized. I think you can play this game with a 2080 sli haha

Just buy high refresh rate monitor and try to play game at under 60fps.

This game has some serious performance issues, sadly.

*this game shows if your PC is horribly built or setupped.

No.

It is totally normal. Plus you have a laptop that contains a CPU below the minimum specs. That said, even the master race, with the best stuff can struggle with this game. Fiddling the settings can help. The Panther post an excellent video on how to figure it all out.

I also couldnt. i have RYZEN 7 1700 GTX 970 G1 GAMING 16 GB DDR4 3200MHZCL15 DELLP2416D 24'' 2560X1440 60 HZ IPS and played it maxed 1440p and it runs at 35 fps max and 24 average while other ubisoft games like far cry5 and far cry new dawn runs much better ar 43 fps average maxed 1440p.

I have i5 9600k, 16GB DDR4 3200MHZ, RTX 2060 OC. Everything is high as possible and the game runs stable around 65-80fps. Something is definitely wrong with your computer/settings.

Yeah I Agree, Ok I have a 3900X plenty of CPU Horsepower. but only using a 2060 Super ( yes ive overclocked it) and Im getting 80-90fps at 1440P using high to very high detail. Something definitely sounds a bit off with the system.

You both are wrong, you can't compare a desktop performance to a laptop performance, no way.
His specs shows he is using a laptop and you're here throwing arguments with your desktop specs, that doesn't provide any help at all. He probably even has 16gb single channel
