"A cultist clue is nearby"

I read online that when you are near a cultist clue you will get the message "A cultist clue is nearby". I have most of my HUD turned off (i can go into specifics if i must) and am wondering if i will still get this message when i am close to one? I have "tips and messages" on in the options. thanks

Most Cultist clues are from killing Cultist members. I think there was maybe 3 clues on tables in forts or caves, which have the loot icon on screen so they are hard to miss. Doesn't really matter if you miss them anyways. Some Cult members are story progression only, some you can actually randomly run into and kill without any clues prior. Happy hunting.

One cultist clue is in a blacksmith shop in Athens, look for different item from a shop list ;)

If you get the "you are close to a target use ikaros" then you will get the cultist clue warning. If not then probably no.

This was very confusing, clue is nearby but nothing in the sight.

most of thsee types of clues are in chests... but not all.
