Why was an option to enable helmets in cutscenes never added?

It's been one of the MOST requested suggestions this game's ever had. Why hasn't a simple ON/OFF option for helmets in cutscenes ever been added?
If it's because it wouldn't suit certain cutscenes, have a disclaimer that things might look weird when enabling the option.
I guarantee most people would rather have that than magically losing their helmet whenever they talk to someone.

Hmmm....I remember when I rode motorcycles I had a full helmet, I never tried to talk to someone with it on . :)

What? You're comparing a motorcycle helmet to one of the many different helms, eye-patches and hats in a videogame? Most of which other NPCs wear in cutscenes but the protagonist doesn't? I don't get your logic.

Would make so much sense to have the head of a dead cow equiped when i am flirting with the ladies as Alexios.

I too would want my head gear to appear in the cutscenes. I'm having my Amazon outfit. the crown is too amazing to not to be in the cutscenes.

they should have the option like in Mass Effect 3.

like an option that says: Show head gear in cutscenes <and> standard. and then in the game when you have it visible in gameplay. Show helmet ON. it is shown in cutscenes.

Worst part is that all types of headgear disappear during cutscenes. Even things like circlets, which in no way cover the protag's face.

There is a mod that partially fixes this. Look for "Player customizations" in Nexus mods. The fix is in the optional files section of that mod page.

It is still on testing phase tho.
