Lumberyard

[White ⁧⁧Wolf]

So I'm working on clearing the starting island. I noticed there's one place, 'Lumberyard' that is also marked as a location with some loot to pick up. I got attacked there by 3 thugs while there's many civilians around. I find it weird that both loot chests cannot be looted without stealing. Is this a bug? All other locations so far have been 'white' loot not 'red' which you must steal.

There is a quest that takes you to that location about level... 3 or 4 if I recall. I didn't go there before the quest so I don't know for sure whether that's the difference, but when I did go there as part of the quest I didn't encounter any unlootable chests as I recall.

Yes I did a quest with some cart the first time I went there(and the other Lumber place nearby for the woman to make bows... but it just seems bugged to me. The 3 thugs dropped no loot and all the loot is marked red as 'owned' so I need to steal from the chests to mark that location as complete.

I think you should prob steal it.

You'll find that tons of the objectives are marked stealing in the whole game. It doesn't make your character bad or anything. It just means if you take it while people see they will hire a bounty hunter to kill you. You have to clear your mind of defining words in video games the same as you do in real life. 'Stealing' 'Assassinate' they are just the words that can be defined differently in different worlds.

Hm yes but my OCD prevents me from that. My first playthroughs are usually 'good-guy' playthroughs as much as possible - for example only killing those hostile to me, and not stealing. I do plan to do a second playthrough later. I mean heck I thought that was the point anyway, giving players both genders, more than one dialogue option in many cases and of course the whole good/bad playstyle thing.
