How do I transfer the game files from Uplay to STEAM ?
As title said, I currently have downloaded the game via Uplay and it's on my Uplay folder.
But I would prefer to buy the game on STEAM.
Is there any sort of method I can just use the files I've downloaded from Uplay and put it into STEAM ??

EDIT : I found the solution.

1) Copy AC Odyssey from your Ubisoft folder that you installed in then paste it onto your STEAM folder. Where you usually store your STEAM games.

2) Change the folder name from Assassin's Creed Odyssey > Assassins Creed Odyssey

3) Buy the game on STEAM, during the download choose the location of the AC Odyssey that you have pasted on. It will take a few minutes for STEAM to discover the files etc
After that you can launch the game.

4) First you must launch the game, play it a little bit till you able to Save game. After that quit the game.

5) Go to ( This is where my Ubisoft Launcher is at ) C: > ProgramFiles(X86) > Ubisoft Game Launcher > savegames > (some weird long numbers and ABC) > 5059

6) Copy all the files inside of 5059 folder ( THE FILES INSIDE NOT THE ENTIRE FOLDER )
Then paste all the files into the 5092 folder and you're done.
( Located same directory of the 5059 folder )

Sorry for my poor English. If you anyone doesn't understand anything, please message me here.
I will do my best to help out. I will keep this post Subscribed for a few more days.

To get my save games over was a little problematic. Turned out, that the Free Weekend version seems to have id 5059 for Uplay while the full game (bought via steam) has id 5092. I started a new game in full, played a little then quit. I then copied some later save game from C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\<some GUID>\5059 into the folder 5092 besides it. In AC Odyssey I then selected "Load Game" and all saves where offered.

There was no need to run ACSaveTool.

When you buy the game on Steam you still have to use Uplay as well, so I should think your games would sink up.

Hmm but the files is now on Uplay folder though not on STEAM.
Ah heck I think I just gonna try. Maybe If I direct STEAM install folder to the Uplay folder it will detect the files there.

I lost track of the game when I spent two days at ubisoft trying it out and bought the final version on steam.I lost all the game's progress, achievements, and equipment.I don't know how to solve it.

I just copy uplay folder to steam, rename to Assassins Creed Odyssey (uplay folder was Assassin's Creed Odyssey, steam wont recognize that), click install and steam auto detected all. Then had to get some updates and thats all

I haven't try since I didn't buy it on STEAM yet. I'm still deciding.
But Serpanting said it works for him. But the game files have nothing to do with your progression.

That be your save file which will be on another place. Or Uplay feature since it uses Uplay.
This is more of a Uplay problem. Even if you playing it on STEAM. It still use Uplay.

Copy and pasting your savefiles from Uplay to the Steam version should work. If not, you'll have to convert them first to make them work with the Steam version.
Ubisoft is kinda dumb and, for some stupid reason, saves are not cross launcher, they tend not to work if your example, you have a savegames from the Uplay version and try to make it work in the Epic Games version of the same game.

Wtf ?? The Save won't just work out of the box ?? But we still be using Uplay. Won't the save be downloaded via Uplay Cloud Save ??

How do I convert it then ??

Because they use different paths and coding between versions. I've read that people had no problems with saves compatibility with Uplay+, but with regular Uplay version, yes.
Use ACSaveTool, it's available on Github and it's pretty easy to use. I did it when I bought the game and everything worked just fine, achievements and even club challenges got immediately unlocked till the point I was playing.

Damn...well I hope it will work out for me. I did progressed quite far into the game already...

I did install the free weekend version on UPlay.
Then I bought the full game on Steam.

I first transfered the whole game folder as @Serpanting described it:

To get my save games over was a little problematic. Turned out, that the Free Weekend version seems to have id 5059 for Uplay while the full game (bought via steam) has id 5092. I started a new game in full, played a little then quit. I then copied some later save game from C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\<some GUID>\5059 into the folder 5092 besides it. In AC Odyssey I then selected "Load Game" and all saves where offered.

There was no need to run ACSaveTool.

That's nice to know, I totally forgot each version path for the savegames, glad that they made savegames work for the free trial.

That's very freaking logical way...why I didn't think of that.
I'm gonna try it out now. Tks for the big help.
