Should I start with Origins or Odyssey?

I bought both these games last night and was wondering if it mattered what order I play them in? Does it matter to the story? Does it matter event-wise?

Doesn't matter to the story, it really doesn't matter but I'd start with Odyssey first.

The games are not associated with each other story wise and are both stand alone, so you can start with either first! :)

Might be true, I got Odyssey first and am totally in love with it. I think its the best game of 2018.
I recently got origins also via a sale, and Im wondering whether it can keep me interested in the same way..

I got Odyssey first, finished it, and tried to go back to Origins (also got it on sale). Not quite the same game - so I bailed on it to play Odyssey a second and third time.

Play Origins first. Odyssey has dialogue options and improved combat and it would take you forever to finish it if you decide to do everything.

depends on how many hours of gaming you can put, both are huge games but Odyssey is bigger. I would start with Origins only because it was released before, I played Origin and it is a great game. Other than that, both games are unrelated.

Hello,

I am curently playing uplay version of odyssey.
I played all ac games minus creed 3 i will discover this month .

Creed Origins is the game i would play first.
Egypt + discovery tour , is immerssive.
Exploration went nice.
It was a bit less repetitive than odyssey for map discovery.

I think it's due to a more open map with no valley / hills to block your daily exploration routine.

In Odyssey, i'm at 110 hours save.
I just begin the main story, to unlock enough side mission to continue the game .
I completed 80% of the map discovery and i don't wanna try the last 20% as it's a bit repetitive, while environment still let you enjoy the ride making it less grindy.

It's a good thing to have lot of things to do at last :)
Horse auto drive, is often impossible, with hills in your path you have to climb.

Odyssey is a climb simulator i guess ^^

In game, they give you some clue when you explore the anymus room playing main mission, it's enough to understand why you are here.

I really liked previous games since ac 1 till creed unity / syndicate, there was lots of informations to gather playing those games one per one, up to black flag.

Ok i'm not good at explaining things, i hope it's readable without spoiling too much ;)

So far ac creed serie is nice, i prefer deus ex serie game play stil ^^
