actually they can get purchased, i had it several times at different smiths that they sold a ancient tablet, it is very rare though.
i bought most of my ancient tablets from blacksmiths. just keep checking the blacksmith. you don't need to save and reload, just play the game and explore ruins. by the time you have enough of the other resources, you should have accumulated enough tablets from ruins and blacksmiths.
I don't have an answer to your question, but I'll note - there is no reason to buy ancient tablets, because you will have far more than enough, without buying any, for all the upgrades over time. I've had 61 ancient tablets sitting in my inventory with nothing to do with them for the longest time.
Spend the drachmae on better things, like - well, just save it up for upgrading gear in the future, really. Because my god the costs on upgrades get ridiculous later on.
Dude no need to be rude, if acecrisp playing in a different language it may be named differently (mainly be written a little different). In German for instance the isle is called "Kephallenia", in English it's "Kephallonia" (similar to the Greek Kefalonia) and even if he could've guessed it (since it's VERY similiar) there's no reason to be rude. :)
You´re right,I moved on without purchasing any more ancient tablets from the kephallonian blacksmith.
My initial goal was to upgrade the Andrestia as soon and as far as possible. Its not a big deal.
I just expected that any blacksmith just has a certain chance to offer ancient tablets, but apparently there are more things connected to it.
Maybe player level, location or main quest progression.
