Blacksmith does not sell ancient tablets?
I figured out that the blacksmith on kephallonia changes his range of goods every time you level up, so every time after i leveled up I quicksaved in front of the blacksmith and reloaded until he offered an ancient tablet.
Now at level 8 the smith still changes his goods after I reload but he does not offer ancient tablets anymore.

Why?

Ancient tablets can only be found in certain locations, mostrly ruins and temples. They cannot be purchased anywhere since there is a limited amount of them.

i bought most of my ancient tablets from blacksmiths. just keep checking the blacksmith. you don't need to save and reload, just play the game and explore ruins. by the time you have enough of the other resources, you should have accumulated enough tablets from ruins and blacksmiths.

Say, couple of days ago 1 blacksmith had 18 tablets for sale in arkadia for me.

Oh I didn't know that, since I never checked blacksmiths for materials. My bad.

I don't have an answer to your question, but I'll note - there is no reason to buy ancient tablets, because you will have far more than enough, without buying any, for all the upgrades over time. I've had 61 ancient tablets sitting in my inventory with nothing to do with them for the longest time.
Spend the drachmae on better things, like - well, just save it up for upgrading gear in the future, really. Because my god the costs on upgrades get ridiculous later on.

Dude no need to be rude, if acecrisp playing in a different language it may be named differently (mainly be written a little different). In German for instance the isle is called "Kephallenia", in English it's "Kephallonia" (similar to the Greek Kefalonia) and even if he could've guessed it (since it's VERY similiar) there's no reason to be rude. :)

You´re right,I moved on without purchasing any more ancient tablets from the kephallonian blacksmith.
My initial goal was to upgrade the Andrestia as soon and as far as possible. Its not a big deal.

I just expected that any blacksmith just has a certain chance to offer ancient tablets, but apparently there are more things connected to it.
Maybe player level, location or main quest progression.
