Best guess is too early in the time line for the hidden blade aspect of the organization. Seeing as the main protagonist doesn't really belong to one exactly. The spear kind of fills the same function though. And well, it's fun.

Because Ubisoft shove us in the face the use of Leonidas' Spear to replace the hidden blade. And because only Darius owns one at this point in history.

The protagonist of the game didn't set out to go discreetly assassinate tyrants, or to form any sort of organization to do so. He also hasn't sworn to not harm innocent people or anybody else that gets in the way, for that matter, and the game actually encourages you to be wantonly violent (e.g. if you want to learn higher tiers of various engravings, you have to go out and kill many more than the quests actually require you to). Nobody blinks an eye as he walks around fully armed. So, he's not making a big deal of a concealed weapon.

I see Odyssey like this: Your bloodline is godly powerful and you eventually cross no other than Darius himself, first recorded hidden blade/hooded assassin.

Darius becomes grandpa because you met his son/daughter.

So long story short without spoiling too much, Odyssey only explains that the whole brotherhood heritage comes from a mix of Isu blood and genes from the very first and creator of the iconic hidden blade.

Maybe we will have more lore with the upcoming DLC.
