Easy boss fights
Have anyone find the boss fights in this game quite... easy? Even though I'm playing with a full assassin build, got to lvl 50 before fighting them and in hard difficulty, the only boss I had a rough time fighting was the Minotaur.
The 3 Cyclops were extremely easy, their moveset was the same and very predictable. I hope when I get to fight Medusa she'll be a little more of a challenge. Or I guess I'll have to wait until they add those leaked hard mode bosses.

Boss fights are pure mechanics, as is much of the game. It's very much do or die and if you find them easy, chances are you will always find them easy. The same as I find them impossible and will likely always find them impossible.

I've never been good at kiting in any game and rely on over tanking to compensate. You can't do that with boss fights in this game. They will destroy you. Before I get too far off topic though, try one on easy, then switch to hard mode. The fight is pretty much identical, just less or more of the same thing.

I don't understand. Are you saying you suck at this game?

It really does have some intense combat at times, so you shouldn't feel unqualified.

This is the first game I've played in a long time where I have to kite to stay alive, and buy time to heal up.

At times even doing hit and runs.

I know what it feels. Maybe it's easy for me because I played Origins before moving to Odyssey, since both games have essentially the same combat system. And after playing a ton of Darksouls, Odyssey's bosses are like a child play.
You just need to get used to this combat system and controls.

I completely agree. For me, they were all far too easy (on hard difficulty) and easily the most disappointing aspect of this otherwise brilliant game. I made a more detailed post about it when Arges was released but the short version is that they aren't even as much of a threat as a lvl70 merc with a fire bow (which can 2-shot my hunter). The rest of the game is well balanced on hard for my taste but every "boss" was a complete pushover. Arges fell first attempt without landing a single hit.

Yeah, I can imagine they were a hella lot easier with a full hunter build, Arges could not give you that death 1 hit blow since he couldn't even get close to you.
I really look forward to fighting them all when Ubisoft add that Hard mode bosses, maybe it'll be like in Origins where they added 3 lvl ahead of you when you wanted to fight one of the 3 Gods. That'll be interesting in Odyssey.

Having them scale above your level would definitely help. Hopefully Ubi can figure out how to make this happen for max-level players.

Had fun with the Fire Cyclop.
Minotaur is broken hit box clearly not hittin on body when u hit it. It could be developed much better by allowing the player also an assassin attack previous to the actual loud fight in most cases we could. Have accessed by reaching their den silently i did in cyclops and same for some special animals for the daphne hunt.... the game should just have empowered player and the rpg with CHOICE and instead it is just a railed experienced based on engraving and gamifying a lootboxes experience.

Loot loot loot... the hud comes out also in no hud experience and at the moment for 1.1.3 there are no gme cracking mods to be changing the experience so that one can experience the game at a state of the art.

Instead ppl like these social media filled with text and info vortex /victim experience with so much to read and lazy design that is detrimental to immersion (sim).

Where is the illusion? Games are all about or msotly about creating a suspension of disbelief if not suspension of reality.

It seems that witha hyper like reality filled with social meimdia we have to endure writing sall over thenplace and widget icons all over on mercenaries and similar...

Boss fights? Just give different animation and body status the more these get lower health. No
If u go to them at hard or nightmare and try to attack them with medium equipment u will never finish them. Especially without health potion which now i must use as the game has over whelming stuff.

U have not hunted clearly the lykaon wolf from spartan soil. If u did u know there are clearly unbalanced bosses experiences. I managed to win with hard at 49 level after 3 hours non stop. So... yeah..
Just kill the wolves before attacking it again .. and bring lots of arrows of course.

The game is fun in some parts. But with a little more polishing and details development 1 year work it would have been very good game.

Especially without shop "trying to help us"... yeah.. their pokets.
Disgusting criminal practice.

Boss design is cool for cinematic and attacks but repetitive and doesn t inform the player a lot out of the hud of their status of health.. just the attack changes sometimes. And the environment also in the case of minotaur...

The harsh experience tends to make the game more based on grinding than bring a succesfuk player.. grinding armor all over the game makes the game based oncthat mostly.

First grind the armor
Then grind the story then grind the
Extra content and bosses etc.
And play the dlc when they become free.

I wish to knownthe game was so grindy and damage was walled behind huge non sense of need to fast travel which i will never do in a game unless a few times when it s really worth...

The game misses the details of many important things.

Hitbox anyway of the minotaur even if it is NEO-matrix bullet dodging it is way beyond limit... i hit it and the game doesn t land the arrow on thenbody. So just shoot the belly becauze every other part doesn t work.

For someone who likes to accuse others of derailing threads -- even when they are addressing things directly mentioned in your posts within your topics -- you sure do like to derail other people's threads :goblin:

It's just Boss fights and to a lesser degree animal fights because they are all immune to parry. You can still Sparta Kick a bear though, just not a boss. It's dodge or die and The only 'complaint' I have (if I had one) is, there is no true easy mode to veto to fights. I don't know if it's input lag or animation lock or I am just bad but I can't dodge.

The current term isn't easy mode anymore, they call it "cinematic mode" now but in this game the boss fights are completely die, die, do it again until you have the mechanics to memory. Eventually I will stack Hunter damage on the Immortal set or something and clear them all but I can also see me just never doing them because I just don't care enough.
