Game freezes up after the Leonidas fight scenes

After I get to the next scene "So it Begins Deal with the Thugs. Basically, the beginning of the game nothing happens. I can press the Q key and my character goes into a defensive stance but the W, A, S, D and space keys do not work. I have tried everything but it seems that I have missed something. I more than meet the requirements to play the game. I am baffled can anyone give me a hand.

It's called this is a heavily unoptimized game and Bugisoft wont fix their game. Theyll instead blame us and think were why the game wont work for more than 20-30 minutes

you need to lock onto one of the guys. middle mouse button. then you need to move to the other target. once you do that then you carry parry and fight. if kassandra is blocking view of both guys change your angle a little and youll be able to toggle between the 2 guys. hope this helps. many people had this trouble theres another thread about it. its not broken. you just need to do it a specific way. :)

Yeah, I tried that. i can lock and unlock on each thug. I can even block but I cannot move or fight. Ubisoft has told me to do a number of things that do not work. Now they are telling me to reload the game even though I ran an integrity check on the game. They really are not much help and i am hoping someone else has figured out the problem. I have update my drivers for my graphic card and everything else on the computer. I am really at my wits end. Wishing I had waited a few more months for them to work out the bugs.

2 Feb. 19. I have erased the program and re-downloaded it per Ubisoft directives. I have disabled all hooking overlay programs including Steam. I have run a verification of the integrity of the game thru Steam. The Load a game does not work, only the continue. I can change the target from each of the two (2) thugs and I can depress the Q button and go into a defensive stance. I cannot use the W,A, S, D or shift keys. They do not work on the program. Yes, My computer more than meets the requirements for running this game. Yes, all my drivers are up to date and I have double checked all.

Anyone that has any ideas as to what I need to do, to get this game working would be appreciated. No suggestion will be overlooked.
