Stink Eye achievement: droprate?

I literally spent the last couple of hours killing goats on Kephallenia for the "Stink Eye" achievement, farming thousands of pieces of soft leather, and still waiting for the "Obsidian Eye Fragment" to drop (I've finished the main story).

There are three possibilities in my opinion: Either it's bad rng, a bug, or I am doing it wrong.

How many goats did it take for you to get the "Stink Eye" achievment? Does anyone know the droprate?

I only killed 2. It was on the south eastern tip of the main island for me

You're doing it wrong. I got this achievement without even trying. But the goat's spot is random.

Not many goats/less than 10 I'd say. I used Fast Travel (SE point) to that area near the bandit hideout at the tip of a peninsula, and started running inland with the bow drawn and received the drop soon after.

just got it after 10 minutes farming the opposite side of the bay, there seems to be alot of goats there, can't think of a better farming spot.

I had spend 2 in game days killing the goats, but eventually I got the eye.

I FT'd closest point to that area, maybe killed 2 and boom! Achievement achieved. And I wasn't actually going there for that purpose. I was going to see what state the plague was in, and I thought I needed some leather and I got it after hacking at the 2nd one. Glad I didn't have to work at it, or I wouldn't have bothered.

its random. was wondering around. killed 1 goat for the hide and got the achievement.
