I completely agree with this, buying the gear and not being able to wear it because I could not afford to upgrade it was the root of the problem. At least I can keep the look I want, or at least a unified look, without paying a ton in resources. :D
i'm at the last part fo the sec. DLC and even with looting all enemies and do all locations its just impossible to keep only one set at a decent lvl, not to talk of more sets what makes the loadout slots completly useless.
Upgrade costs of Adrestia are also just insane.
Honestly the system is broken and combat gets tedious when you cant upgrade propperly.
I'm really just looking forward to finish the game just because i usually dont let games unfinished but its really a shame. Do ubisoft just want you to buy ingame currency and items / resources with more real money ... shame on you.
Every time you stop by the blacksmith, buy out his stock of rocks, hides and wood.. I've been doing this since the start and have no issues keeping my Warrior and Assassin gear, Plus one legendary weapon from each slot updated..
By selling all the other gear I can manage to keep my money high..
the last boat upgrades are massivly high though. With that said, buying resource packs just aren't worth it, for the money you pay you can get the same amount of resources from a 2 blacksmiths and it'll cost you the price of selling some gear.. Just fast travel to a few blacksmith locations instead of 10 - 15 real life dollars... Only things aside from cosmetics in the store worth buying are the perm boosters, and the maps maybe.. then possibly cosmetics if you're into that kinda thing..
I usually dismantled all items rather than sell.
I guess i made the mistake to upgrade the adresia before staring the second DLC.
But the grind now would be to much. I dont really care anymore, i just wanna finish.
But keeping one set at your lvl with a reasonable effort would be the least i'd expect.
