Attack combos..?

I've been watching videos of people using various weapons, and it seems others are able to do certaint things with weapons that I can't manage in combat myself. As specific as I can get is that others seem to do more..spinning, I guess? I attack with left click and shift left click. Is there more involved that I'm unaware of?

Some abilities have chain attacks, maybe that is what you are seeing.

Some power attacks and heavy attacks can involve spinning. What weapons are you talking about? Each weapon has a very different animation, so maybe experiment with them?

You're most likely seeing some of the more advanced Overpower attacks, or maybe some of the higher level special abilities. Definitely would have to know more details to be sure though.

Like the others said, spinning attacks with spears/staffs/heavy are likely either overpower attack or a charged heavy attack. Both are upgradable for "more" moves/combos.

If you just spam the basic attack, it strings into a short combo. By adding an advanced attack at the end like a heavy attack or a skill based one as mentioned above, you can get some crazy looking sequences.

Mixing up these styles can also make a chain look unique.

I see, so it's probably overpower attacks then. I'll have to experiment with the warrior skills and see what results I get. Also from memory I'm referring to staffs, spears I think, and either swords or daggers. I just know that when I use them compared to the videos I've seen, the attack patterns look continuous and elaborate, whereas for me it's just like poke poke bigger hit repeat. To be fair I do dodge with maniacal frequency though.

Ah, this is definitely what it was. Watched videos before I played for myself, and the staff/spear overpower attacks look like flowing regular attacks in a way. Never even noticed the adrenaline use.

Well, now I know how to do it at least.

sometimes some abilities like the "THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!" move can be cancelled after the impact frames into dashes (dodges) and you can combo it into light attacks to further expand your combo. another thing is that you will unlock combo finishers where you character does an animation of badass chain attacks that cannot be cancelled and will finish the combo. so keep that in mind.
