The place you start on Kephalonia is likely forgotten.
This is the problem with trying to incorporate RPG elements into a 3rd person action game. In Skyrim, you could get a home with a few customizing options in most large cities, AND they add a DLC which includes 3 more homes with more options.... Way too much, yet, it gave you some leeway in your own 'story'.
If the outrage continues with everyone causing more problems instead of enjoying a bit more change in the gameplay, they may as well go back to 'no choice/rpg'.
The fact your family now 'lives' on the ship makes even less sense, but it is what it is - time to go stab people.....
