did you installed ne new patch?
I get 60 stable FPS before I installed the new patch that has been released today....

60 stable on my GTX1080 with a mix of High/Very High settings.

Just turn down "Volumetric Clouds" to "low" or "medium". Its the biggest performance drain for no real visual gain.

I installed the new patch and my framerates went all over the place with a 1080 as well. Great job, Ubisoft.

I restartet my PC now and changed my graphiks settings to the highes possible graphiksettings that the game can give and I turned the adaptive quality to 60 fps and now it works a bit stabler than before.... Don't ask me why, but it works better
But Ubisoft, pleas fix it to the absolutly perfekt stability that the game has before the update. I would realy appreciate it!
Many thanks :D

@Garip Yaratik
I have the same CPU but a GTX1070 and it dosn't realy work stable

70-80 fps at 1440p with 9700k and GTX 2080 on highest settings. I don't notice the frame rate changing on my G-Sync monitor. With that said, this game is probably the most taxing game in my collection other than Final Fantasy XV.

The game has a very fluctuating framerate for me as well. I decided to just cap it to 60 fps even though I can easily get a lot more frames then that. I prefer a stable framerate over a high framerate that fluctuates constantly.
Without the cap I get about 70-80 fps in the wild and between 60-70 in big cities such as Athens.
This is on 1440p.

GTX 1060 with V-sync (mandatory for me): lowest 53 (rainy weather, cities, lot of mobs), highest 75. Graphics are simply perfect all the time, I cant see a difference, only logs tell me that the fps is lower.

fps all over the place for me, some annoying stutter, same ♥♥♥♥ on low or high ( even tried 720) with my razer 15...

A lot of people say "stable fps" but aren't actually looking at the FPS counter throughout most of their gameplay. Whenever you ask this question, always expect tons and tons and tons of people to either lie outright or misstate their own situation.

People playing with a GTX 1080 and an 8700k probably do hit >60 a lot of the time. And after seeing it a while, probably close the frame rate counter and aren't "sensitive" enough to notice the times it DOES drop below 60.

Anyone saying it never drops below 60, even in large towns, there's a 95% chance they're either lying or just don't know it's happening.

This latest patch has decreased performance for me on RTX 2080.

After further testing with benchmark whenever HDR is bugged and I have to turn it off and back on to fix it performance goes downhill.

56fps-58fps on benchmark runs when I have to turn HDR off/on.

74fps-76fps on benchmark runs when HDR isn't bugged.

This is a new issue with latest patch and its very strange before HDR being bugged never affected performance. So overall I can open game have 56fps on benchmark close game reopen and get 74fps avg never experienced something like this before.

I'm using 1440p, volumetric clouds high, shadows very high, dof off

*other than this performance seems to be improved in seeing less gpu usage with 65fps cap
