Glowing spear - no reason

from time to time, the spear is glowing, i do kinda like it, but i guess its a bug .. would love it to have it permanently :)
Just to understand it, it glows for minutes, outside of combat ..

It glows when there are Orcs close by.

I think that it glows when some danger is near you but im not sure.

Lot's of the same conflicting answers I've seen before, and if it 'was' adrenaline bars, why would it "turn on and off (and on, and off)" while traveling. Danger, near treasure, yeah, I've seen a few theories, but nothing iron-clad.

But it sure looks cool.

It glows when your adrenaline bar is filled up or 3/4 filled

I too have noticed it correlating with my adrenaline bar, but not entirely sure on a definitive answer. I will try and do some searching for you. :)

It seems to me like it glows when I have all 8 adrenaline bars full.

I dont have any elemental active, it glows.
I dont have adrenaline, it glows. I have it full, it glows.

So far i noticed, it glows only on my back .. not counting glowing while attacking, that stays only for the duration of the attack .. when i draw weapon, it will stop. When I sheath my weapon, it wont glow again.

I got this one time only, some animation didn't complete properly and the spear glowed for about five or ten minutes (as I was riding at night leaving a trail of sparkles) until I did some other animation and it went away. Nothing repeatable, just a glitch.
