What counts as an assassination?
Is it only the assassinate ability under the assassin tree or can hunters and warriors assassinate also with a different ability?

My hunter seems to be racking them up for some reason but she is only using head shots, do those count?

you mean Stealth Kill? (killing the unaware enemy)

When you check your stats and it tells you how many assassinations you have, how do you get those?

1 hit kills without being spotted seem to count for that.

I decided to investigate before commenting - Is there a 'list' somewhere of things you've done in game that I couldn't find? Kinda like GTA's miles run, people killed, properties owned, etc. type thing?

This brings up a question of my own: Mythical creatures defeated: it says 5, I remember 4, and also see an acheivement for one (incomplete), which I had questions about but decided to just keep playing, as that tends to solve a lot of 'questions'.

Last night I had 1,757 assassinations but I mostly played as an assassin.

Last night I changed to my hunter spec and today I have 1,816 assassinations but I never actually snuck up and assassinated anyone.

Do do head shots and predator shots count as assassinations? They must because that's all I really use.

Yeah , like i said, all kills that are instant and while you are hidden count as assassination kills.
So one shotting a enemy with a bow without being seen counts.

Nobody can see you making the kill. Thats all. As long as no one witnesses you shooting the arrow it should count. But i am not 100% sure and dont have the game installed anymore at the moment.
