In case you have no interest in any side quest and want a straight 10-hour campaign rush, open-world RPG shouldn't be the genre you look at.
If you are just looking to treat this as some sort of race to finish then its really not the type of game you are looking for. There is so much outside of the main quest to do.
And microtransactions are not toxic in any way. Its all about cosmetics.
You just sound like you want to hate on this game for some reason.
Let me guess, you're a RDR2 player aren't you?
Kid.
I'm just asking for informations about this game.
Chill

out.
None of the microtransactions are "toxic" since none of them are even remotely required to enjoy the game. Prior to the level increase to 70, people were routinely outleveling the campaign and that was a far more common complaint than not being high enough level.
It took me 110 hours to finish this game, the quickest you're likely to manage it is in about 75, so if that's too long of a commitment, I'd recommend looking for something else.
I don't mind playing a game for a long time as long as it doesn't feel like a useless chore. If you say it's not the case with AC:O then good. Are the side quest any good or are they generic?
Those are time savers but not even remotely needed to enjoy the game. I admit that I did buy the resources because I had the money and wanted to upgrade my ship right away, but I didn't have to do so and there was nothing in the game which forced me into that choice.
Be sure, if you do buy the game, that you collect wood and hides regularly as you explore, however, as those are two of your most commonly used resources.
I would say half of the side quests (those marked with a exclamation point on your map) are interesting. The quests from the bounty boards are just randomly generated filler, mostly useful for end game content.
The game is filled with interesting and entertaining people, beautiful vistas, genuinely moving cutscenes, and more laugh out loud moments than I can count.
I don't want any rushed "10 hours game". My favorite genre are RPGS in general, open-world or not. I just want to know about the game's quality before I decide to buy it or not.
Why are you so aggresive child? Can't I ask people personnally about what they think of the game? Calm down please.
Mostly yours because they are, otherwise not really nope.
