Why?
We all know that "wokeness" is a major factor in game design this days, for better or worse, usually the latter.
Ubisoft businessmen always tried to stop the devs to use female protagonists, they forced the inclusion of Jacob in AC Syndicate, they changed Aya as main character for Bayek and they forced this "are you a boy or a girl?" thing in Odyssey.
They think that a female in the cover wouldn't sell well enough (wtf?), and this is something you can find on the internet.
I still feel Kassandra is the best fit, and her voice sounds very natural to me. But V in Cyberpunk 2077's voice actress sounds very forced and off. Weird how everyone likes different things.
There are some forger mods that will take care of that problem. I don't mind Alexios look so much as the protagonist but it really doesn't fit him when he is Deimos. A bad guy with a pretty boy hairdo and a Miami Vice 5 o'clock shadow doesn't really cut it, So I gave him Leonidas' hair and beard but in jet black and now he looks like this whenever I play. Now THAT is what a bad ass bad guy should look like.
