Game Freezes Need Help
so ill just be playing like normal and it will freeze and I will have to close the game and boot it back up again to continue playing, it's getting really annoying any idea why it is doing this and is there a fix? I play with GTX 1060 (6GB) i5 7500K and 16GB DDR4 Ram

Have you tried changing the priority to run above normal in Task Manager? This may help.

Full screen Was more stable for me than borderless it seemed.

I also realized my hard drive was dying. Replaced it today and had no freezes in borderless since then.

Borderless performance is awful, but full screen is perfect.

Try disabling full screen optimization. Right click on

\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Assassin's Creed Odyssey ACOdyssey.exe. Select properties / compatibility and Disable full screen optimization.

Helped me eliminiate 1-2 second freezes that occured occassionally.

Do you have any of your system components overclocked (GPU, CPU or Memory)? If you're running anything like MSI afterburner or the like, try running with that off and insure it's not running hidden in the systems tray bottom right of your screen.

I'd also uninstall Geforce Experience if you're using it.

You can also try rebooting your PC, go into your BIOS and select Defaults, then save.

When you get back into the game, try running the benchmark a few times in a row.

Also, I'd still try the disable full screen option mentioned above.
