Game freezes for a few seconds randomly, and then unfreezes.

Is very annoying and makes the game unplayable.

I've been playing for hours and I've never had any problems.
But with the latest updates this problem has started.
I updated my drivers, and still happens

Has it happened to someone else?

If you are using Bluetooth controls, try deleting and then pairing again.

Try disabling full screen optimization. Right click on

\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Assassin's Creed Odyssey ACOdyssey.exe. Select properties / compatibility and Disable full screen optimization.

Helped me eliminiate 1-2 second freezes that occured occassionally.

That made it even worse for me. Also tried changing to "run as administrator" but that didnt help either. I have a Gigabyte Laptop with following stats:

Prozessor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12500H 2.50 GHz
RAM 16,0 GB (15,7 GB usable)
GPU: Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU
Systemtype Windows 11 64-Bit-OS, x64-based Processor

Hey, yeah I went on reddit and someone gave me a hint that could have solved this. Just set the framerate to 60 fps. If you dont see immediate results dont worry mine only set in after a few restarts. He also stated that this fix is quite universal and can be applied at other games too if freezes occur. Have fun! :)
