The Stolen Steed Quest Bug

Upon accepting the quest to retrieve the dude's horse from the camp, the quest marker is immediatelly set on the quest giver, since had already I explored and cleared the camp prior to this quest being available (no horse was in sight!), and my character informs him his horse is dead, thus failing the quest.

same here. just failed the quest same way. its annoying the game punishes you for exploring

Exactly. Up until this point I had the habit of exploring and clearing every single location in the game ahead of the main and side quests. Now I'm playing the game "in a straight line", because you never know if you'll accidentally break a quest further along.

Yup, right now my quest failed too because I've been exploring ahead of quests, if this is a bug, it's still happening
