I know, since this is a SP (with a Shop that should just go away), but just new players seeing this, I already see them getting upset when they find out that they can't be as strong as others, which is somewhat important when it comes to online Events.
Edit:
Or did I understand something wrong and everyone will have still the same amount of Ability Points total?
All these compensation does is safe you time for after max level point farming.
So I did understand it wrong and when new Players reach the max lvl and did all the Tombs, they will have the same amount of Ability Points as everyone else?
On the same amount of Exp I mean.
After you reach the max level you continue to fill your xp bar and get a skill point every time you fully filled the bar but without to get your level increased since you already are at the max level.
There are two lots of "compensation", one was 8 points for people who were at 50 before the cap was raised, one will be 30 points for people who are at 70 when the level requirement is lowered.
People in this situation earned xp that would have been going to waste after the problems were fixed, if they weren't compensated.
Those who buy the game later are not wasting any time earning xp for no reason, so they don't need to be compensated.
The number of points added will not exactly match the number of xp wasted, in many cases. However it's a single player game so this hardly matters. For customer satisfaction it's better to give too many points than too few.
I reached level 70 today. My xp bar displays 11 M xp out of 24 M to reach the next skill point. Why so?
Also, I recieved 3 skills points. Why so? I thought it was supposed to be 1 point only.
Thanks for help
How come that some of our contrubutors here recieve also ONE point with 10M xp points, and as for me, I recieved THREE points with 11M xp points.
@UBISOFT: I'd really like to have a clear explanation of the game mechanics while leveling to 70. Merci d'avance à vous :D
" my name is Gabriel and I will be happy to help with any lingering concerns!
The maximum level in Odyssey is 70, after which you start to gain Mastery Levels. There are 72 Mastery Levels to choose from, and each Mastery Level can be upgraded 20 times. Each upgrade costs 1 Ability Point.
As such, theoretically speaking, you would hit the Cap after having gained 1440 Mastery Levels and maxing every upgrade all the way to 20. Though it would take a considerable amount of experience!
I hope this information helps, and please let me know if you have any further questions!"
So you may need to start a new game and just play it the normal way. One thing I've noticed starting a new game is that any legendary Items you may have gotten at the Oikos of the Olympians store is bound to your account, so you can claim them in the new playthrough.
I hope this helps.
