Where are the chariots, balistas and greek fire?
Hi!

As a long-time AC player I'm somewhat disappointed that chariots & balistas were taken out of the current game.

This is immersion breaking and pure lazyness of devs imho as they had implemented these in AC Origins already.

Furthermore, I'd love to see greek fire as a ship weapon (mine). Again, this dates back to AC III or was AC IV Black flag.

Only old dinosuars might remember better times.

such balistas are in the game, just not usable.

Chariots are there, but only as cosmetics ._.

Sadly you can not ride them - would be a pretty cool mode of transport if you stay on roads ^^

I'd +1 the greek Fire - the amount of fire that you need to make a ship burn is ridiculous. Shipwood and especially sails are known to be highly flamable ><

Greek fire is byzantine, roughly 1000 years AFTER the time period of the game. Just saying...
Greeks used rarely chariots in warfare, even if they did exist. Using chariots requires a flat battlefield, and if you've been to Greece you should have noticed that anything flat without rocks everywhere is pretty rare.
Same goes for ballistas, even if they are present in the game aroung Athens. Besides your ballista link refers to romans...
The Pelopponesian War was mainly naval and based on infantry. In that respect the warfare depicted by the game is pretty accurate.

What Gallaki said.

I'm sure greeks didm't run around the main island on foot carrying supplies. That would be funny to see.
For the balistas: They had greek ones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYq9iEkkNcw
I'm not sure for the greek fire time period: But everything would be more fun tnan we have in-game
at this point. We have female soldiers, so why care about the rest. Sorry.

Afrer all, there was no micro-transaction shop in this time period. As far as we know.

Of course Grisu, they had indeed ballistas. And you can see some in the game around Athens, where the siege takes place. They are not usable because it's not the theme of the game after all. It's AC Odyssey, not Totalwar Odyssey ;)
As for supply transports you'd be disappointed to see the "chariots" they used to transport them: big and clumsy, tracted by oxes or mules.
I bet that mulepacks were a standard in Greece at that time period, and in fact they were a standard until the beginning of the 20th century on most islands of the Aegean.

Accurate and solid answer! I rate it 10/10

Well I feel ya. Historical accuracy is not the strong suit of this game. But I got to warn ya: questioning the game's accuracy is one of the deadly sins on this forum.

Yeah, we wouldn't want to suspend our disbelief when it comes to women fighters.

Now I'm in an awkward position where I'm not sure if you missed my sarcasm, or if you're responding to my sarcasm with sarcasm.
Let me help you out of this conundrum:
and now I'm in the position where I can easily say: "my job is done".
