Draw distance scaled down

I've noticed that they scale down the draw distance. (again).....in patch 1.07. An example: if you stay far at a fortress you see some black points above it. When you come closer birds begin to fly...

Nice thanks but that doesn't answer my question. Besides LOD (Level Of Detail) has to do with textures drawn in the distance, they work together...

Yeah when I first started playing it, the draw distance and LOD were pretty nice, and I could see ships from pretty far away. But ever since 1.04 I think, they pop in pretty close and it's very immersion breaking.
I wish they could just leave the old draw distance alone for those selecting ultra. Really don't understand why they have to downgrade for everyone.

I too think the distance graphics have become poorer. After nearly 200 hours I find the vegatation at a distance suddenly looks disappointing compared to the way it was before. I did not expect this and the change was obvious. I also find the cutscenes have become prone to the characters vibrating laterally. Why do some people here choose to be abusive?

i agree with you on all statements. i have well over 300 hrs in and i have noticed differences too.

There is been reports about LOD getting worse after patch.
But many have confirmed, that resetting they graphical settings did resolved the issue.

There is no change at all in LOD !

dude stop with your aggressive attitude, in every thread the same attitude. and to prove you wrong, in origins, LOD got messed up by a patch and it was a bug, and when it got fixed its now similar to this game now.

so the OP noticed sth wrong after the patch and asking if someone else having the problem.

and yes draw distance and lod are reduced, popings got more annoying after the patch especially NPCs cloths and ships, vegetation also got affected.

its not that ground breaking, but yes its true and the OP is right and has nothing to do with graphical settings.
