Keyboard doesn't work

Tried everything I've seen online. Still no worky. What a pain in the

It's like saying your car isn't working and you've tried everything but I don't know if the car battery is dead or if it got hit by a train.

Fair enough.

First battle with Leonydis everything seemed to be working, but not really sure. Attacks worked, , but had trouble controlling him with keyboard, mostly because I don't usually use the defaul WSAD keys for movement. Had to remap my keys during solo combat with persian leader dude.

Next encounter (with the two thugs) I can change the focal point of my attack with mouse button 3. I can not move in any direction. I can not attack (MB1 not responding) I can pan with my mouse to change viewpoint. That's about it.

Tried resetting keyboard mapping to default and restarting game.

Tried disabling overlays in both Steam and Uplay

Unplugged keyboard, started game, plugged in keyboard.

So far nothing has worked or made the slightest bit of difference. I don't have Discord installed.

I see. Yep that worked. I don't think I've ever seen a tutorial that I was forced to do AFTER I had already fought two battles. I am torn between being thankful and being annoyed.

Me too. I think I've been stung too many times in the past with a new game that I install and then spend anywhere from 2 hours to 3 weeks trying to get to work. So as soon as this started my default reaction was "Oh great, here we go again.'

I'm glad it just turned out to be me not paying attention, which, when I think about it, is the cause of most of my aggravations in my life. :-)

I had a big problem with Assassin's Creed Odyssey. After some time playing the "ASDF" and "JKL;" keys stop working. I was not able to move aside or to turn back. I discovered in the end that holding Shift + W caused this problem. I changed to toggle Shift when to climb walls and rocks and this problem disappeared. What is interesting is that in Assassin's Creed Unity I hold Shift+W+Space Bar all time and it never caused any problem.
