Finding Stentor as a mercenary
I spared Stentor in Boetia but now l want to find him to get his cultist clue. I heard he acts as a mercenary after this point in the game. Is that right? If so where exactly should I look for him?

I figured he's not a cultist, but I thought I read in another post that you get a cultist clue about the Spartan king from killing him. Maybe I misunderstood something...?

That's right, he's not a cultist but he carries a clue to reveal a specific cultist in the main questline, I don't remember which one.

Pretty sure you get a clue about the cultist Spartan king. I guess I'll look for Stentor in Sparta and Boetia and see if he turns up....

In one playthrough he showed up after I had spared him shortly after in Boetia. If he behaves as every Mercenary then he'll show up whenever he wants to show up, depending on your bounty level, i.e. the higher it is the more Mercs you run into and the higher chance you have of running into him.

Yeh I ran around killing mercs for like 2 hours and no Stentor. Kinda gave up after that. I guess having all the evidence on the Spartan king is not that important anyways. You just body him and ten minutes later you've cleared your name.

He'll show up eventually. I spent the better part of two days hoping for The False Leonidas to appear so I could knock him out. Previous playthrough he showed up early on, but not so time around.

And no, you don't need every clue to get a Cultist, a lot of additional clues are obtained after you kill them anyway.
